You guys are getting to know me. You probably realize by now that I’m a health nut and I go crazy over any and all natural beauty products—as long as they work.

Anyway, here’s a DIY recipe that I’ve wanted to share with you, it’s a new version of my turmeric facial with a little more kick to it, because of the vitamin C crystals and Manuka honey.

It brightens my complexion, and I found that it’s also more moisturizing. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Why You’ll Love It:

Turmeric
Turmeric is amazing—it has natural cleansing properties that brighten the skin and is a potent anti-inflammatory. Turmeric has amazing anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-aging properties that make it an excellent face mask ingredient.

This golden spice is very effective against acne since it contains strong antibacterial properties and it will help fade your acne scars too!

Vitamin C
Vitamin C helps fight cellular damage and improve skin elasticity. It prevents wrinkles and is known to brighten the complexion.

DIY recipe:

  • ½ tsp. vitamin C (L-ascorbic powder) or you can crush the vitamin C tab instead
  • 1 tsp. organic turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp. natural yogurt or gurd
  • ½ tsp. water or (milk)
  • ½ tsp. raw honey

Note: If turmeric stained your skin, just apply some olive oil on the affected area and wipe it off with a damp wash cloth, repeat the process until the stain is gone.

Directions:

① In a mixing bowl, place all the above ingredients and mix it thoroughly.

② Using a face brush or clean finger tips rub the mixture onto your clean and dry face.

③ Allow it to rest for at least 15 – 20 mins. The maximum amount of time you can keep it on? Until it dries completely. However, there’s no need to keep it on for longer.

④ After the time is up, wash off with warm water and pat dry. Behold your glowing face! If turmeric stained your face, you can apply olive oil or coconut oil and wipe it gently using a wash cloth.

The Result?
The result will be a smoother skin, even complexion, less acne redness and swelling, as well as a small amount of softening of the appearance of wrinkles (used twice a week, it could diminish those wrinkles even more).

Note:
As a precaution considering everyone’s skin behaves differently, do a patch test on a less obvious area, however, if the turmeric stained your skin, you can wipe it off with a warm cloth after rubbing castor oil or olive oil.
