Many hair experts advocate not to wash our hair regularly to keep those tresses in good condition thus the dry and oily hair issues wont get magnified. In cases where you perpetuate the fact that you hardly allow yourself to go on few days without washing your hair, then at any rate, acknowledge you had oily hair as a result from an excessive amount of anti-frizz serum.
For thick and wavy-haired gals like me, there’s no doubt that you understand too dang well exactly what I’m talking here. Since I am a congenitally frizzy-haired gal, the aforementioned condition occurs pretty often, if I’m simply being candid here. That’s exactly the reason why I grab some baby powder at my beck and call to fix the mess.
Anyway, these time-saving fixes offer a simple way to take care of lifeless, oily hair quickly, but be aware that all of these are meant to be a stopgap or a temporary solution in lieu of shampooing and must be applied sparingly.
Alcohol which is the primary component in most of the quick tips, while effective in ridding yourself of greasy roots may possibly deprive your locks of natural oils, ergo proceed with vigilance. Obviously, if you have an extremely oily hair, don’t be lazy, the best route is to go wash your locks on alternate days. That being said, hopefully these 5 quickie fixes would be proven useful.
1 Powder Your Roots
Cornflour (used to thicken gravies and typically used to refer to cornstarch) and Baby powder are incredible given that they behave relatively as a dry shampoo which soak up extra oil or serum while not leaving a hint of the powdery, dandruff-like residue that I could simply surmise you’re starting to stress about. Except in cases where you put tablespoonfuls of the stuff on your scalp all together, nobody might find a single thing but fresh-out-the-shower hair.
All you have to do is to sprinkle a little bit of baby powder or cornflour on a dry clean washcloth of face towel. Dig up a big, fluffy makeup brush and dip it on the face towel and tap off the excess. Dust on the powder to any roots of your hair or any oily areas. The powder will soak up the oil and fuses into your hair strands. Smooth your hair with a comb and wipe off any excess using towel.
For sure, most of you guys have a sanitizer handy. This nifty little bottle is versatile in making your hands clean while on the go. But did you know that the alcohol content in sanitizers can desiccate the greasiness out of your hair as well? Simply grab a hand wipe or pour some sanitizer on your palm and spread lightly in your greasy hair roots to remove excess sebum from your tresses. Don’t worry, the alcohol will swiftly vaporize and all you’ve got is a fresh looking hair.
3Scents Strands with Perfume
Spritz a quick shot of perfume into the hair brush and run it through the hair strands from roots to tips and be amaze on how your hair will smell incredible that could last for hours. You could also use this step as a hair freshener apart from an effective quick fix for greasy hair.
4Toner or Astringent
These products have a high percentage of alcohol content but works wonderfully for limp and oily tresses. If you happen to use these products purely on your oily hair problem, then simply grab the least expensive ones because they contain a substantial alcohol proportion.
You can store them on a spritzer and spray them on your hair roots or you can just use a cotton ball dipped in toner/astringent and rub it to the greasy spots. It doesn’t matter how you use them anyway, both deliver the results wonderfully in moping out the greasiness out of your hair.
Alcohol is included as one of the dry fact ingredients in wet wipes and therefore, is an effective way to get rid of greasy hair roots. All you have to do is to grab some wet wipes and scrub with might and main onto your hair roots or any spots that feel greasy. Let it dry and style as usual.
