Vitamin E – Makes Acne Better or Worse? Find Out

Go online and do some research about vitamin E and acne. The chances are that you’ll get confused – some say it does miracles for acne and acne scars, others report that the vitamin E treatment caused breakouts.

So, does vitamin E work for acne?

The answer, based on my experience, is yes! The type of vitamin E that you pick will be tremendously important for getting the benefits rather than making your acne worse.

Not many people know the differences between particular Vitamin E products, so I’m going to let you know why those breakouts happen when you use certain types of vitamin E.

There are 2 types of Vitamin E

There are two kinds of vitamin E. The natural one is D-alpha tocopheryl. It’s derived from fruits and veggies. The alternative is synthetic vitamin E or Dl-alpha tocopheryl.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to treat acne, opt for D-alpha tocopheryl.

  • SYNTHETIC Vitamin E – Dl-Alpha Tocopheryl——> The Worse Form Of Vitamin E

The Bad Effects of Synthetic Vitamin E

Most of the vitamin E capsules and products sold in the drugstore contain a synthetic vitamin, which does not come from fruits and vegetables like its supposed to.

This means it has been produced in a lab and chemicals were used in the process. It’s easy to see how this form of vitamin E will contribute to very little acne improvement (and it will, in fact, cause irritation).

Since Dl-alpha tocopheryl is chemical-based, the chances are that it will make your acne worse. The people in the forums and online communities claiming that vitamin E doesn’t work for acne have probably tried the synthetic form. Reading the label before buying anything is essential for keeping your skin beautiful and pimple-free.

Now lets talk about the GOOD Vitamin E

Individuals that have used vitamin E to treat acne and acne scars relied on the natural form of the vitamin. This form of vitamin E comes from fruits and other natural sources. It doesn’t contain chemicals or irritating synthetic substances.

D-alpha tocopheryl is great for application on the skin, and you can also take it internally. It plays a key role in maintaining skin healthy, making your complexion radiant and helping you deal with imperfections.

The Bottom Line

Vitamin E can be used for the treatment of both acne and acne scars. To make the most of it. However, you’ll need to do a bit of research before rushing to the drugstore. Avoid all of the products that contain Dl-alpha Tocopheryl because these could cause irritation.

One of the simplest possibilities for enjoying the benefits of natural vitamin E involves making your masks or cleansing products.

Some of the foods that are natural sources of the vitamin include spinach, roasted sunflower seeds, avocados (also great for hydrating your skin), olive oil, squash, and pumpkin.
