We are taught that in order to succeed in life we need to make compromises, and in most cases when you receive something you also lose or jeopardize something else. The same goes to medicine and other treatments that we now take for granted and ingest without thinking twice about the side effects. I’ve been dwelling on the idea that the more expensive skin-care products are, the better they are, but I’m no longer willing to leave in a world of make-believe.
What I decided to do is to put any misconceptions aside and give homemade skin-care products a chance because, quite frankly, I couldn’t find any reasons not to take this leap of faith. For starters, I know exactly what ingredients I use and since I’m all about quality, I don’t hesitate to purchase the best because after all the beneficiary is me. I don’t have to worry anymore that the skin-care products I acquire might contain allergens, and no matter how expensive the ingredients might be, they are not even in the same zip code as commercial lotions and creams.
I had my fair share of disappointments and more than once I’ve purchased an expensive cream that didn’t help me at all. With homemade skin care remedies, I can experiment as much as I want, so at least in theory, I will eventually hit the jackpot and reap the benefits without hurting my budget. I’m probably not the busiest person in the world, but I find it hard to make time for salon appointments, so this will make up for the time lost preparing the natural cosmetics.
