We all know that oranges are great for health. But with all the fruits, the peel of orange has a much higher concentration of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients than the fruit itself!

Applying the orange juice on your face is so beneficial – so just imagine how much more beneficial it would be to use orange peel, rich in skin-boosting nutrients, on your face!

If you are looking for an all natural, refreshing face mask ingredient to give your skin cells a healthy boost, orange peel powder is for you!

Orange peel powder can be used in face masks to help people who:

  • have oily skin
  • have persistent blackhead problems
  • want to reduce discolouration, pimple scars and blemishes on their face
  • want to lighten their skin tone
  • want smoother softer skin

How Potent is Orange Peel Powder for Glowing Skin?
Orange peel powder naturally has many properties that will heal, protect and maintain beautiful facial skin. Here are some of the main properties of orange peel powder:

Property Benefits for Skin
from: beautytips4her.com
Natural Cleanser   Orange peel powder penetrates into the pores and deep cleans the pore,
breaking down any oils, grime, dust, pollution and pus to prevent blackheads, whiteheads, acne and pimples.
Natural Astringent   Tightens skin, makes skin firmer, controls excessive oiliness, dries out acne,
 prevents acne and pimple formation
Toner   Instantly refreshes the skin, reduces the size of pores, balances pH level in the
face, protects skin for trapping pollution and dust in everyday life.
Improves Circulation   By promoting blood circulation in the skin, orange peel powder promotes a
healthy rosy-coloured tone in skin. Improved circulation enables nutrients in  the  blood to reach the skin cells and nourish it.

Ingredients:

  • Orange peel Powder
  • Whole Milk (or you can use either one: distilled water, Rose water or yogurt/curd)

Directions:
dried-orange-1
① Peel oranges and set the orange peel out to dry until they become hard.

dried-orange-2-1
② Once the peel becomes hard, grind it to fine powder in a mixer.

dried-orange-3-1
③ Mix the orange peel powder with milk (or distilled water, Rose water, yogurt/curd). Use both orange peel powder and milk in equal amounts. Blend the mixture till it becomes smooth paste consistency.

④ Apply the paste all over your face and keep it on for around 30 minutes till it dries completely.

⑤ Rinse off mask with warm water and be sure to remove gently. Make sure not to scrub the facial area vigorously while washing off as this might do considerable damage to the skin.

The Results:
You will notice how fresh and vibrant your face feels. This orange peel mask will absorb the oils from the open pores in your skin, which will help the greasy shine that you get from excess oil due from the face. It also picks up dead and dry skin cells from the surface making the skin appear clean and brighter!

Remember: Drink lots of water and do a face scrub/mask once or twice a week and moisturize face twice a day, morning and night!
