The Skincare Benefits of an All-Natural Tomato Facial Peel

Is there a woman who doesn’t dream about having the perfect complexion? I have searched high and low for an all-natural solution that will deliver radiant, imperfection-free skin.

When it comes to a beautiful complexion, most ladies rely on commercial products. Through my experimentation, I discovered one simple and inexpensive natural ingredient that can deliver amazing results.

FACIAL-peel-1

An all-natural facial peel will help you get rid of the dead skin cells and the buildup that has accumulated in the pores.

This gentle procedure stimulates the regeneration of cells, making skin much more youthful and radiant. The ingredient that you can use to get all of these benefits is the tomato.

Overview

Tomatoes are a wonderful source of vitamins and nutrients that the skin needs. A tomato facial is much gentler than the products used in spa peels, which makes it suitable for all skin types and for the treatment of various problems.

Whether you need to deal with large pores or your skin requires a little bit of natural soothing, a tomato treatment is the best way to go. Here are some of the biggest benefits that you will enjoy by choosing the tomato facial peel.

Skincare Benefits of Tomatoes

  • Tomatoes are a wonderful source of vitamin C and just like citrus fruits, they play an important role in skin health. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant and an all-natural skin lightening agent.

A single treatment can make your skin much brighter and decrease the prominence of certain common imperfections.

  • As a powerful antioxidant, vitamin C protects the skin cells from the damage that could be caused by free radicals. Thus, it can be used to slow down the aging process and prevent the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
  • The tomato is also acidic. A tomato facial treatment can thus be used to kill bacteria and reduce the prominence of acne.
  • The mildly acidic tomato facial peel will stimulate exfoliation, and it can be used to treat dark spots or achieve an overall lightening of the skin tone. Vitamin C is often used in the commercially-manufactured skin lightening products.

A tomato treatment will primarily deliver the same results, but it will require a longer period of time because the facial is all-natural and less concentrated.

  • Apart from using tomatoes for the creation of a natural facial peel, you can easily make your tomato skin cleanser.

The cleanser will regulate sebum production and shrink your pores – two effects that will contribute to the beautiful appearance of your skin and the brightening of your complexion.

  • Tomato can easily be added to masks and facial treatments that rely on other natural ingredients, as well. This way, the tomato facial can be enhanced and used to treat a wider range of skin problems.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 medium tomato
  • 1 lime or 1/2 wedge of lemon

  • In a blender, puree the tomato until smooth and squeeze the entire lime into the mix.
  • Apply the mixture on your face in a thin layer using a cotton pad/ball.
  • Massage gently into the skin using a circular motion and let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with tepid water. Moisturize if needed.
