There is more than meets the eye about green tea and the popularity of this drink rises exponentially during summertime when thirsty people drink large quantities of it.

While this refreshing drink can make your day when the temperatures exceed certain values, it is every bit as useful as a beauty remedy. Don’t be afraid because using it to create a homemade facial is not the same as wasting it because the benefits are immediate and long-lasting.

There is no better way of starting a new day refreshed and energized than by applying green iced tea on your face early in the morning. You can wave swelling goodbye because the concoction will clean the pores and hydrate the skin right away, while the effect persists throughout the day.

Why it works:
Green tea contains tannins and tannins help shrink swollen tissue while caffeine from the tea constricts blood vessels to reduce swelling and dark circles.

In a nutshell, green tea contains the same active ingredients as many commercial products that are advertised as a godsend for the bland skin. Both of them make it look radiant and healthy, but the difference is that green tea is actually beneficial for the skin.

If you fancy a glowing skin, vibrating with energy and hope to enjoy this effect for more than a couple of hours after applying the mixture, stick to green tea.

You’ll Need:

  • 1 glass of filtered water
  • 1 bag of green tea
  • 5 soft gels of Vitamin E
  • few drops of lemon juice (not applicable for sensitive skin)
  • a toothpick (optional)
  • ice cube tray

Directions:
① Warm up your water in the microwave and add the bag of green tea. Let it sit for a minute or two, so the tea will actually soak in. When your tea is ready, now you can add your vitamin E liquid by pricking the soft gel and squeeze it into the green tea glass.

② Stir thoroughly and pour the mixture in the ice cube tray and place it in the freezer. Don’t let the mixture completely frozen in the freezer, so you’ll be able to poke/insert the toothpick in each cube (this is optional) and put it back to the freezer.

③ Once it’s all frozen, you can thaw the ice cube for a few minutes so it is easier to slide out the ice cube. At night or on the morning, just rub it on your face (make sure to wrap the ice cube using a washcloth or a paper towel).

This will help reduce morning facial swelling and contribute to constricting large pores without using chemical toners.

④ Those who don’t have extremely sensitive skin could benefit from the addition of a few drops of lemon juice. As it is rich in vitamin C, therefore makes short work of bacteria and prevent them from causing infections.

      @Debmita Kar,
You can read my post here: https://beautytips4her.com/how-to-get-fair-skin-naturally-home-remedies-for-fair-complexion/
But make sure to take precaution if your kid’s skin is sensitive to those natural remedies.
Also, let her wear sun protection with spf 30+ when going outdoors.
