Developing a beauty routine in the morning is the best way to start your day right and keep your skin and hair healthier throughout the day.
Doing these the first thing in the morning ensures you’ll accomplish them for the day and the more you do them, the quicker they are to do.
① Start with a Tall Glass of Warm Lemon Water
Many health advisers recommend drinking warm lemon water the first thing in the morning to rev up your system and get it ready for the day. Some studies suggest it boosts your metabolism and others show it helps fill you to reduce your caloric intake.
After sleeping all night, you’re bound to need to hydrate, no matter what other benefits it has. Our body is composed of 70 percent water and brain cells are 85 percent water, so you’ll be boosting both your body and brain.
Some people recommend room temperature water. If you don’t like plain water, add just a squirt of lemon to flavor it.

② Spitz Your Face with Cold Mineral Water Mist
Keep mineral water in the refrigerator and spritz your face with it either before exercising as a wake-up or after as a refreshing treat. It will leave you feeling marvelous.
③ Wiggle It, Jiggle It and Shake It All Over, Just Get Moving
Regular exercise extends your life by boosting your immune system, increasing cell telomeres, increasing circulation, lowering blood pressure and helping you to sleep better at night, particularly when you do them in the morning.

④ Use an Antioxidant Cream
Vitamins such as E, C and A—in the form of beta-carotene—are antioxidants that protect your skin and other parts of your body from free radicals.
These can come from toxins in the air and even the UV rays of the sun. Using a good antioxidant serum or cream in the morning can provide protection all through the day.

⑤ Before Putting on Makeup, Put on Sunscreen
UV rays can damage skin cells even when it’s overcast and cloudy, that’s why taking extra precautions and using sunscreen before you apply your makeup can help protect you skin. Use a squirt the size of a nickel for your face first.
Then put on your powder or foundation. Make sure you protect all exposed areas, too, like your neck and hands.
⑥ Avoid that Coffee and Go For Green Tea
Many people admit they don’t actually like the taste of coffee that well, they simply love the kick that the caffeine offers. You can get your same caffeine boost and benefit yourself in other ways by drinking green tea instead.
It provides a boatload of antioxidants that not only help prevent serious conditions, such as cancer, they also protect cells against damage that can cause aging.
If you love coffee so much you named your first child Starbucks, don’t despair. You can also get some antioxidants from coffee and speed up your metabolism too.
⑦ Eat High Quality Protein
Protein digests slower than simple carbohydrates, such as fruit, so you feel fuller longer.
High-quality protein can come from eggs, yogurt, peanut butter on fruit or toast or even a breakfast burrito can help you lose weight by preventing you from getting hungry later.
⑧ Get a Little Citrus Smell
A quick spritz of citrus-scented body lotion or cologne will help put you in a better mood and may even improve your immune system.
Citrus helps reduce the effects of stress, so spray some on your wrist and sniff (subtly of course) throughout the day when stress builds.
