We all experience skin emergencies. I suffer the consequences of using makeup on a daily basis and being too tired for following proper skincare routines in the evening. As a result, my skin is sometimes in need of emergency assistance.
I am a person who loves getting facials and being pampered. This is why when a friend of mine (and a beauty professional) suggested this easy DIY mask, I decided to give it a try. It was supposed to provide a deep cleansing and very soothing effect. The results were surprisingly good. The mask delivered everything promised and a little bit more.

Pea Mask: The Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons of fresh green peas
- 2 tablespoon plain yogurt
- 1 teaspoon mustard
You will need just a few basic ingredients to create the pea mask. The first and most obvious ingredient is green peas. Find fresh peas and measure six tablespoons. You will also need two tablespoons of your favorite yogurt (make sure it is a plain variety) and one teaspoon of mustard.
For a start, you will need to mash the peas. You can use a blender, a food processor or a spoon. The result should be a relatively homogenous mash.
Add the yogurt and the mustard. The mask should be thick, yet easy to apply to your face.
Clean your skin and dry it thoroughly before getting started. Apply a thick layer of the pea paste. Stay away from the delicate and sensitive skin in the eye area. Let the mask act for 15 minutes and use the time to relax. Wash your face with lukewarm water and voila – your skin is looking and feeling brand new.
