You don’t need to be a celebrity to age graciously and it is not mandatory to undergo complicated cosmetic surgery to effectively hide your age.

Perhaps some of the most common skin issues that people of every age are confronted with, are sunspots, which just like the name suggests are caused by excessive exposure.

While it is virtually impossible to avoid the sun altogether, there are a couple of powerful homemade remedies that can remove or at least make age spots less visible.

Patience and diligence : These are the 2 keys in how to manage your hyper-pigmentation (like age spots or dark spots) and the third key is of course, to have a realistic expectation.

What Causes Age Spots:
Age spots are caused by years of exposure to ultraviolet light from the sun, and using a tanning bed can also contribute to the development of age spots. The pigment in the upper layer of the skin that gives your skin its normal color is called melanin.

When UV light comes in contact with the skin, the rays accelerate the production of melanin, creating a tan on the skin to help protect deeper layers of skin from damage caused by UV rays.

Age spots appear on areas of the skin that have had frequent and prolonged sun exposure because the melanin is produced in particularly high concentrations.

Below is the natural remedy to reduce age spots, it is cheaper, safer and effortless than a chemical peel or a facelift, these home remedies can help drop a decade from your face.

  • Grab an onion (red or yellow) and dice it .
  • Use a mortar and pestle to pulverize it
  • Put the liquefied onion into a blender
  • Add in the apple cider vinegar and blend
  • Use a cotton ball to apply the remedy to your age spots 2x a day
