I don’t know about you, but I tend to overindulge most of the time and unwittingly realized that I’ve put on three pounds within a short period., I feel bloated, and seems like my fingers look puffier (got the picture?).

My quick fix for overeating is the Fiber Flush Green Tea recipe that I found from healthydish. It’s super easy to prepare and it aids me with my bloatedness as well as to jump-start on weight loss.

This recipe is meant to rid your body of the accumulated impurities. Besides, this mixture is loaded with Vitamin C or ascorbic acid and works great for your digestive system to emulsify or break down fats and stimulate bowel movements.

Why Chia Seeds?
Chia seeds come from a flowering herb from the mint family that’s native to Central America. When the seeds are soaked in water, they omit mucilage (aka a gelatinous substance that comes from plants).

These mucous membranes are excellent for your digestive system and help to heal irritation caused by acid reflux or ulcers.

Chia Seeds are Superfood because they are high in antioxidants, dietary fiber, healthy omega 3?s, and protein. They also last longer because they are super high in antioxidants that they preserve themselves and you don’t have to grind them up to absorb the omega oils just eat them whole!

And because they create a gelatinous effect when added to water or digested they cleanse your insides by collecting toxins on their way out! This is why Chia Seeds are an amazing detox and weight loss food.

While ginger is a powerful detoxifier that helps to kick-start your metabolism. Along with hydrating your body, this drink will help to stimulate bowel movements.

Green Tea contains caffeine and theobromine a caffeine-like compound – both of which boost metabolism and increase fat burning.

Cayenne Pepper helps in speeding up your metabolism and decrease your appetite while promoting a healthy digestive system.

Note: The most important part of staying in great shape is to eat a healthy diet and get regular exercise simply.

You’ll Need:

  • 1 tbsp. of Chia Seeds (can be found in health stores or Amazon)
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 green tea bag
  • 1 slice lemon
  • 1 tsp. of sliced ginger
  • 1 tsp. of honey
  • a dash of cayenne pepper

Direction:
Simply mix all the ingredients and drink.

I used to drink this detox tea 3 times a day to aid with bloating and for flushing the impurities from the body, but it all depends on you. You can drink it once a day as well.

When you drink this 3 times a day, do you do this as a meal substitute? How many days do you go?

      @Gunjan Jain,
You need to eat the Chia seeds, you don’t drain them as those are the essential part. Besides, chia seeds will turn to a gel-like substance once soak in liquid.
      Trust me, they taste yum!
