Do You Know a Food that is Five Times More Effective than Cough Syrup?

Various foods have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial qualities, which make them more potent than pharmaceutical products. Pineapple is one example of such a “super” food.

The delicious fruit is packed with useful nutrients, and when it comes to suppressing inflammation and overcoming infections, it is five times more potent than cough syrup.

Pineapple-juice-for-cough
The pineapple is an excellent natural source of bromelain – a very effective anti-inflammatory agent that has also been viewed as a promising option in the fight against cancer. This is why Pineapples have long been used as a part of traditional medicine in South and Central America.

Drinking just a cup of pineapple juice per day will give you 50 percent of the daily recommended amounts of vitamin C. Vitamin C plays a significant role in many physiological processes, and it also strengthens the immune response.

Pineapple Juice for Respiratory Infections
Instead of reaching for the OTC cough syrup when suffering from a respiratory infection, you should make yourself a cup of fresh pineapple juice.

Pineapple juice is great even for people suffering from serious conditions like pneumonia. It is free from toxic chemicals and harmful additives. At the same time, studies suggest that it does a better job at suppressing coughing than cough syrup.

The beneficial nutrients in pineapple juice help the body expel excess mucous. The juice’s anti-inflammatory qualities make it perfect for soothing a sore throat.

A study was carried out in 2010, and its results were published in Der Pharma Chemica. The study involved tuberculosis patients and researchers attempted to relieve the symptoms of the disease through the use of natural substances and extracts.

During the study, researchers found out that a mixture of pineapple juice, honey, salt, and pepper was very efficient in dissolving lung mucus.

Making Your Own Pineapple Cough Remedy
I consider fresh pineapple to be the best option for making your anti-flu and anti-cough remedy. You will simply need to peel the fruit and use a juicer. Alternatively, you can go for store-bought pineapple juice. Make sure that the variety you pick contains no added sugar.

To make your own pineapple cough medicine at home, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup of fresh pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice
  • 1 piece of ginger (about 3 inches)
  • 1 Tbsp raw honey
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

Directions:
① Put the cayenne pepper, honey and grated ginger in a bowl.
② Add the liquids and stir until you get a homogenous mixture.
③ Drink approximately a quarter of a cup 2-3x per day.
④ Continue taking the pineapple cough remedy until your symptoms disappear.

Can you suggest some remedy to lighten stitches mark after an accident

      @Geetu,
If your stitch marks were been there for long time, it would be hard to get rid of the marks.
But if they are fresh marks, you can apply regularly virgin coconut oil (day and night). Just continue
doing this and you will see the marks will fade.
