If your skin is overexposed to the sun or you have darker moles, scars or areas of the skin that you want to brighten and blend with the rest, you can create this fabulous inexpensive face pack at home to give great results.

I saw a small difference right away, but the key to success is using it consistently for the most impressive change and brightening of the skin. Consider it chicken soup for the skin, refreshing, healthy and just what you need to achieve a fabulous look.
Together these three ingredients work synergistically to create a potent mask that not only lightens and brightens your skin but also helps reduce the appearance of large pores.

The face pack contains three simple ingredients most people have in their kitchen. It uses tomato, lemon, and honey. That’s definitely not complicated.

These ingredients work together to help brighten your skin but also have other benefits you’ll appreciate. Let’s look at each one individually.

Reasons these Ingredients Work so Well
① Tomato Juice
The juice from a tomato is high in vitamin A and vitamin C. That’s super healthy for your skin. These two vitamins are potent antioxidants with vitamin C playing an important role in the production of collagen.

Vitamin A is no slacker either. Besides protecting cells, one form of vitamin A is retinal. You have probably read that name on fancy facial products that cost a fortune. Retinal, retinol, and retinoic acid are other names for it. It helps stimulate skin cell production and fibroblasts. Those are the cells that aid in creating deeper layers of firm, healthy skin.

Tomato juice also is a natural astringent and can help make pores look smaller. It is acidic nature from ten different types of acid in it. The two main types are citric acid and malic acid. These act as chemical exfoliants that help to lighten dark spots to achieve an overall lightening of the skin tone. Exfoliating is the removal of dead skin to reveal brighter, healthier skin cells beneath.

Skin cleanser. Apart from using tomatoes for the creation of a natural facial peel, you can easily make your tomato skin cleanser. The cleanser will regulate sebum production and shrink your pores – two effects that will contribute to the beautiful appearance of your skin and the brightening of your complexion.

② Lemon Juice
The juice from a lemon also exfoliates and is probably better known for this ability. It also helps bleach skin and brightens it. It tones oily skin while helping to clear acne because of its antibacterial properties.

The vitamin C in lemon juice is an antioxidant. Studies show that antioxidants also help lower the amount of melanin in the skin if you use it on a regular basis. Melanin is the pigment that makes your skin darker.

③ Raw Honey
Honey is not just healthy for your insides, but also for your skin! Honey is a humectant, which means it attracts and retains moisture. That’s perfect for dry skin and helps keep skin moist and plump.

It has natural antibacterial properties to help clear acne and other skin conditions. It is loaded with antioxidants, and as you read previously, this aid blocks the production of melanin, but also give a boost to your skin health and slow aging.

You’ll Need:

  • 1 tbsp tomato juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp raw honey

Directions:
① Cut the tomatoes and put them in a strainer, press the skin to extract the juice.

② Then, add the lemon juice and raw honey. Mix the mixture together and apply to the affected area using cotton ball/round or you can use a makeup brush. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes and rinse it off with warm water. Splash your face with cold water to close the pores. Apply your favorite moisturizer. Do this routine, 2 or 3x a week for best results.

      hi Safna,

Changes in skin color, technically known as hyperpigmentation are typical as mostly all pregnant women experience these kinds of changes in their bodies. You can blame those blotches on the same thing that causes morning sickness, fatigue, and your craving for pickles and ice cream: pregnancy hormones.

Our body experience profound adjustments during pregnancy, which make pregnant women susceptible to changes of the skin, hair, and nails.

All you can do is to simply protect your skin by applying sunblock when you are staying outdoors.
