How to Boost Metabolism

Metabolism is simply a term that refers to any and all chemical process in a living organism that helps sustain life. This includes the process of fat getting converted to energy. The 4 spices of this tea have been shown potentially help with weight loss and they are all quite common. If you familiar with home remedies you almost certainly use them frequently already.

First and foremost ginger, which some studies have shown can increase metabolism by up to 20%. Second is cinnamon, which helps insulin function efficiently. Insulin is a hormone that removes glucose (blood sugar) from bloodstream – a lack of insulin results in diabetes. A lower or stable blood sugar can also stabilize appetite. Third, is cayenne pepper, which is normally touted for its ability to reduce pain, thanks to its capsaicin content. It turns out that capsaicin increases the body’s production of heat (which is why you might feel warm and sweat during a spicy meal.)

This indicates that your metabolism is increasing – one study showed by up 50% for 3 hours after meal. A sprinkle of black pepper is then added, which may help speed metabolism in similar manner to the capsaicin in cayenne.

You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 – 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon or 5 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 – 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (you can adjust the ratio if you have low tolerance)
  • 1/2 – 1 teaspoon of ground ginger or 1 sliced inch of fresh ginger root
  • A sprinkle of black pepper

**Note: You can start slow by going easy or adjust the amount of ingredients according to your tolerance.

2.) Add the ground or whole spices and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes and then pour into a mug and let it cool a bit and drink, removing the solids if you used any. It is best to do this within an hour after a meal.

You can go easy with the ingredients if you can’t tolerate with the taste. And once you will get used to it, you can trying adding more for best results.

Be active
Being constantly on the move and reducing time spent sitting down will help you burn more calories. Any extra movement helps burn calories. Look for ways to walk and move around a few minutes more each day than the day before. The more you move, the more calories you burn.
