Lose Five Pounds or More in Just Three Days with Potatoes

You may be saying “What? Lose that much weight by eating fattening potatoes? Impossible.” I know I said the same thing, but it’s true and there’s a good reason why it works. Three days of eating will consist of boiled potatoes—not French fries mind you—and a low-fat yogurt drink.

Lose weight in 3 days

Why it Works?

① You’ll never feel hungry because the starch in the potato and lactic acid in the yogurt leaves you with a full feeling without adding many calories to your daily intake.

② Potatoes also have lots of nutrients in relationship to the number of calories eaten. Both the yogurt and potato contain about 130 calories each. The potato has vitamin C, some protein, more potassium than one banana, iron, fiber, B6, niacin, folic acid, thiamin, riboflavin and other phytonutrients.

③ Potatoes also contain proteinase that acts as an appetite suppressant. Red potatoes, Yukon gold, and regular Russets all have varying nutrient levels. For instance, red potatoes are higher in vitamin C than Russets, but Russets have more B6, so there is a variation in nutritional values based on the types of potatoes you eat.

④ Combining the potato with yogurt increases the amount of protein you eat, which helps control the sugar levels in your body so you don’t start yo-yoing your sugar levels, which can be disastrous for any dieter.

Yogurt also helps the digestive system and eliminate toxins from the body. Besides adding protein, yogurt is an excellent source of calcium, magnesium and vitamins B-6 and B-12. It helps leave you full while completing many of the nutritional requirements for your body.

How to Follow the 3-day Plan:
① First off, start your day with warm lemon water (you can read the benefits of drinking warm lemon water here)

② Start with four boiled, microwaved, steamed or baked potatoes (but never fried) and four cups of plain non-fat yogurt day one, mixed and matched throughout three meals during the day, cut down to three of each on day two and on the third day, just two of each selection.

③ Never add milk or butter. You can use mint, fennel, chives, turmeric, caraway, paprika, dill, nutmeg, rosemary and fresh garlic. If you want to eat mash potato, use the potato juice or herbal teas to aid in making mashed potatoes.

④ Important note: — Leave the skins on the potatoes. The skins account for over 75% of the potato’s mineral value.

⑤ Omit the salt and drink plenty of water or herbal teas.

Remember:
While this diet isn’t meant for long-term use, it can help you lose those pounds quickly for your next class reunion or other special days.

Within three days you should see a substantial weight loss that can shed enough pounds to help you fit into your skinny jeans or your favorite evening wear with sleeker smoother lines that silhouette your body.
