All of us have envied the appeal of Victoria’s Secret models at one time or another, but rather than just envying them, we benefit more by learning from them.

Miranda Kerr, one the supermodels, shared one of her secrets that keep her hair looking beautiful. After scorching her hair when it was ironed, she used this tip to return it to its healthy, shiny, silky appearance.

You don’t need to scorch your hair by ironing to benefit from this trick. It works great to help reverse the damage and return your hair to its full bounce and shine.

My hair was looking dull and damaged from drying it on too high of heat and too many products. I love the results, but best of all, I love the fact I had all the ingredients already at home.

You’ll Need:

  • 1 tbsp of juice from fresh lemon
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil

You can adjust the ratio depending on your hair length.

  • Simply mix a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice with a teaspoon of olive oil and apply to your hair focusing on putting more on the split ends.
  • After allowing it to perform its magic by covering my hair with a shower cap or plastic bag and waiting for anywhere from 30 minutes or leave it overnight, I washed my hair normally and conditioned. As if by magic, my damaged hair was rejuvenated, soft and shiny.

      hi Anita,
      You can use lemon on your colored hair. However, if you put lemon juice (ALONE) in your hair then sit in the sun for a few hours it can make your hair a little lighter. But this is not the case in this mixture, as you have to combine lemon with olive oil (and NEED NOT to sit outside).

      @Anita @Surbhi,
      Lemon juice on the hair will have a bleaching effect, particularly if you use it while in the sun (but you need to use it how many times to see the effects). However, diluting lemon with olive oil (1:1 ratio) wont give you that kind of effect, I did that on my hair lot of times and nothing had changed.
