Those who say that long and beautiful eyelashes are not essential, or claim that they do not bother about thickening them, are usually those who are blessed with beautiful eyelashes. Annoying as it is,

I am not among the lucky few so I am on a constant search for homemade remedies that can help me offset this inborn bad luck. Add to this the fact that constant use of makeup causes the lashes to lose their strength and eventually fall out, and you probably understand my desperation to finding a miracle solution.

I don’t know if good things come to those who wait, but I like to believe that it was my driven nature that led me to the eyelash thickening serum using castor oil. Its beneficial effects were presented to me by someone who was already using castor oil and praised its emollient effect.

It carries virtually none of the shortcomings of commercial products, which makes it the ideal solution for moisturizing and nourishing the eyelash follicles.

The idea behind using this do it yourself remedy is to mitigate the detrimental effects of the chemicals present in the makeup we religiously use. Castor oil is a highly effective treatment for hair loss, promoting hair growth and improving its density, so it works wonder in thickening your lashes, and Vitamin E accelerates the length of your lashes.

You’ll Need:

  • Clean nail polish container or small clean bottle
  • old mascara (I used this one)
  • Fill your container 3/4 full with Jamaican Black Castor Oil
  • Fill 1/8 of your container with pure Vitamin E Oil
  • Fill 1/8 of your container with Sweet Almond Oil

Directions:
lash-lengthening

① Just mix all the ingredients and put the mixture inside a clean nail polish container or small bottle.
② Apply the concoction lightly in your lashes using old clean mascara before going to bed.
③ After a month of using this DIY serum, you will notice longer and stronger beautiful eyelashes.

Use your serum at night before bed. Wash your face as usual in the morning. This serum’s result vary from person to person. Some people see results immediately.

I used this mixture for a couple of months and can see a difference. Remember that a little goes a long way, you do not want the oil running down your face all night so get a minimal amount on your mascara wand before you apply. You can still see without too much blurriness after you have applied, it is actually very comfortable.

You have nothing to lose with making this serum. Even if it does not lengthen your lashes, it will nourish your delicate hairs and protect them from falling out. I don’t think anyone can have sparse eyelashes anymore!
