Hair Care Tips for Girls after Rebonding

Struggling with frizzy or curly hair? Rebonding may be the right option for you since it relies on the power of strong chemicals to give you perfectly straight hair.

The chemicals rearrange the bonds of your locks, which makes the results of the treatment long-lived. The problem with rebonding is that the strong chemicals could potentially cause hair loss and damage.

If you’re considering rebonding, you’ll first have to learn how to take proper care of your hair. Since the treatment is rather harsh, you will need to strengthen those locks and protect them from damage.

Rebonding-1
Tips for Taking Precautions after Hair Rebonding

Your hair will have highly specific needs after rebonding. Sticking to a couple of hair care routines will help you overcome the negative consequences of the chemical treatment.

Avoid Hot Water

Hot water is usually quite damaging and even more so for hair that has undergone rebonding. Cold water will offer the best results for the locks that have been treated with chemicals.

Condition your Hair

You should get in the habit of conditioning your hair every single time. Leave-in conditioners and deeply nourishing masks will help your hair recover from any damage. The more of this product you apply, the better the results are going to be.

Use Clarifying Shampoo

Replace your regular shampoo with a clarifying variety at least once per month. Clarifying shampoo gets rid of styling product residue effectively.

Use Wide Teethed Comb

Combing and brushing can both contribute to hair damage. Be very careful with untangling your locks after undergoing rebounding. Use a wide-toothed comb rather than a brush. Go slowly from bottom to top. Remove the tangles gently and proceed to comb the entire length of your hair.

Avoid Tying your Hair and Hair Dryer

You should also allow your hair to dry naturally. Refrain from using the dryer or other styling tools that use heat. Finally, don’t tie your hair with a rubber band. Something as simple as having a ponytail could cause irreversible damage to your locks.

Have a Balanced Diet

Healthy hair needs nutrients to maintain its beautiful appearance. Include large quantities of fruits and veggies in your diet. Natural sources of protein are also great for your hair since amino acids are its building blocks.

Avoid Changing your Hair Style

Maintain the same hairstyle for the initial period after rebonding. Even if you opt for professional services, you can still suffer serious hair damage. Highlighting and all other kinds of styling procedures are not recommended.

The Bad Side

It’s easy to see why so many ladies will see rebonding as such an attractive possibility. The chemical treatment leaves the locks perfectly straight and silky smooth. Before opting for rebonding, however, you’ll need to inform yourself about the risks.

Rebonding can leave your hair rather weakened, causing serious hair loss. The damage will be very easy to notice, especially if you don’t change your hair care routine. You will need to take special care of your locks, and the routine may be a bit cumbersome to some.

Before and after hair rebonding

Talk to your stylist about rebonding, the consequences of the procedure and the hair care steps to follow after having your curly hair straightened. A professional will help you with the selection of the right products and the right procedures.

Stick to natural and gentle hair cleaning and hair styling products. Refrain from picking anything that contains harsh chemicals. These could cause additional damage and make the results of rebonding even more harmful.

It’s possible to enjoy silky and shiny locks, as long as you’re committed to protecting your hair, nourishing it properly and selecting the gentlest of styling possibilities.

      @Anu Sharma,
Silicone is normally a common ingredient used in styling products like serum or hair gels, shampoo and conditioners. Some silicone are waterproof and they can easily wrap up your hair, that is why your hair can’t breathe which eventually leads to dullness, brittle and lifeless. So, make sure to use a clarifying shampoo once or twice a week to help remove the silicone from your hair.
