Never thought that you could make your own nail polish color by using a dated /expired eyeshadow? Honestly, I have a hard time finding colors that suit me when it comes to nail polish.
I’m so glad I discovered a way to make my own nail polish in any color, and it totally blew my mind. It’s so easy! All you need is clear nail polish and eyeshadow!
I wasn’t convinced what would be the effect because I was skeptical if the nail polish ends up gritty until I saw this brilliant idea from Delighted Momma showcasing how she made fun colors by blending an old eyeshadow from her stash with a clear nail polish.
What you Need:
- cheap eyeshadows
- clear nail polish
- funnel
Obviously, you can decide which colors you prefer on this one. To begin with, you can venture by grabbing some cheap eyeshadow from a dollar store.
Or perhaps you can start digging your old supplies, chances are you may catch something too old to put nearby your eyes.
If you are not sure how much to put in, you can use it partially to test the water and afterward add the remaining portion.
You can use a small pointed piece of wood or a toothpick to pulverize the colors you opted.
① If necessary, pour a bit of your nail polish out to make sure you have enough leeway to add the powders and mix them.
② Next, you can stick your funnel or a cone shape paper on the tip of the bottle and cautiously put your ground-up shadows.
③ Again, use a toothpick or any pointed piece of wood to blend in and put the cap on to give it a nice jiggle. You can adjust the color as you please in case you are not satisfied by adding more ground up powder.
④ Now, be ready to rock your fingers with the custom-made nail polish color you want and get thrilled with the results.
