The underarm skin is exposed to a vast range of adverse influences on a daily basis.
We shave the area, use more dynamic hair removal methods and apply antiperspirants.
Also, the skin rubs all day long against the fabric, which can cause irritation. The problem with all of these is that they contribute to darkening of the area.
Similar skin darkening could occur on the legs, particularly along the bikini line. The problem may be embarrassing, yet it’s often overlooked.
Natural methods are the safest and gentlest ones. Chemical and medical treatments are based on harsh substances that could cause additional problems.
Ladies that have sensitive skin should avoid such creams and remedies at all costs. The good news is that a natural alternative exists.
To lighten the underarm and leg skin, you will need the following ingredients:
- 1 cucumber
- turmeric powder
- baking soda
- lemon juice
① Peel the cucumber, slice it and put the pieces in a blender.
② Add the lemon juice and a teaspoon of baking soda. Blend. Take the mix out of the blender and add a pinch of turmeric powder. Stir the ingredients until you get a homogenous mixture.
③ Gently apply the resulting paste to the areas that you want to have lightened. Use a circular motion and massage the mask gently in the skin. Let the lightening ingredients act for 20 to 30 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.
④ Repeat the procedure daily or 3 x a week. Use the mask until you start seeing results and the skin begins looking lighter.
Keep in mind that natural methods deliver slower results than the chemical-based treatments. You have to be patient and consistent. In some time, you’ll begin noticing a substantial improvement.
Now, Onto the Easy, Natural Process of Lightening and Brightening your Skin
① If you’re looking to lighten certain areas on your skin, you can choose to do this every day or 3 times a week, depending on your skin’s sensitivity.
② Once your desired skin tone is reached, you may wish to maintain it by repeating the process on a routine basis.
③ If looking to brighten your skin, this can be done once a week, bi-monthly, once a month or simply when your skin needs a boost.
④ For face lightening: I recommend that you do not apply this more than 3 times a week, as your facial skin is more sensitive than your body, and you can over exfoliate resulting in dry skin.
