If your hands feel dry, rough or a bit overworked and if you want a quick fix and nothing seems to work for you, scrub your hands with olive oil and sugar to enjoy silky smooth hands.
These two ingredients are so common that it is virtually impossible not to have the needed quantity at home. Therefore you won’t have to worry about unnecessary delays.
Mixing the two ingredients together is something that a two-year-old can do with ease, so there is no risk of failing even when you do it for the very first time. The only thing that you should keep in mind is that this hand scrub should be used immediately after preparing so that the sugar won’t get the chance to dissolve entirely.
It has this nasty tendency when immersed into liquid and even though olive oil has a slightly different consistency, it will eventually get the best of sugar. This is not a problem, though, because the sheer simplicity of this homemade remedy makes it possible to get your fix whenever you have a few minutes free.
- Granulated Sugar
- Olive Oil
① Pour 1 or 2 tsp of granulated sugar into one hand and add the same amount of olive oil.
② Then gently rub the mixture in between your palms to combine and spread evenly.
③ The scrubbing motion itself is the same performed for any similar products, with circular motions being ideal for gently removing dead skin cells.
In a matter of minutes, you will be pleasantly surprised to see that your skin is considerably softer than it was before using the scrub.
I’d recommend you to use some lotion to shield the layer of new skin, and luckily there are plenty of homemade ones using exclusively natural ingredients.
