If you don’t want to invest in salon products, making your own natural treatments and conditioners is an excellent choice. Do you like products with all natural ingredients? If so, you’ll love this mayonnaise and olive oil hair treatment, since it leaves hair silky, shiny, and beautiful.

The combination of mayonnaise and olive oil gives your hair the protein and moisture it needs, repairing damage to hair and smoothing the cuticle of your hair.

Why These Ingredients

When you combine mayo and olive oil, you end up with a DIY hair treatment that gives hair protein and moisture. Protein treatments work especially well on hair that has been damaged, and mayo includes protein.

The protein can even help fill the hair’s cuticle temporarily. For healthy hair, use this hair treatment once a month. If you have dry or damaged hair, you should use it twice a month or as needed.

This natural hair treatment will also make your hair soft, manageable, and shiny. However, you may want to experiment with the ratio of mayo to oil to figure out which combination works best for your hair.

Since mayonnaise has eggs in it, you want to avoid applying heat or rinsing with warm water so you don’t actually cook the eggs in the mayo.

This treatment may leave hair smelling a bit like salad dressing, but if you shampoo and condition, you probably won’t notice the smell when you’re done.

You’ll Need

① You’ll need half a cup of olive oil and half a cup of full-fat mayonnaise (adjust the amount depending on your hair length).

② The combination will give you a rich, creamy treatment that conditions and nourishes your hair. Simply stir the two ingredients together.

③ If you want, you can amp up the results by adding honey, avocado, or egg to the treatment, but this is optional. If you have short hair, stick to the two ingredients.

④ If you have longer hair, go with the recipe that includes more ingredients.

How to :

hair1-1

① Once you make your hair treatment, work it all through damp or dry hair. Make sure you concentrate the treatment on the ends of your hair.

② After application, use a plastic shower cap of some plastic wrap to cover your hair. Allow the olive oil and mayo treatment to stay on hair for 15-30 minutes.

③ Use cool water to rinse the treatment out of hair, and then shampoo and condition your hair as you normally would.

      hi Ad,
I have oily scalp as well but I normally used this mixture. Just concentrate on the hair tips not in your hair roots (for oily scalp).
