As the economy took a downturn, we all feel the pinch and nothing beats on gaining knowledge on budget beauty when all you have to do is to look in your own kitchen’s pantry so you don’t need to dish out a fortune for spa treatments.
I understand a lot of people dreaded the word cellulite or dimply skin and most of us refer to it as cottage cheese skin or orange peel syndrome.
Having a cellulite is inevitable and is quite normal for anyone of all ages, any size and shapes. Cellulite appears when the circulation of blood underneath the skin is constrained by enlarged fat cells.
This leads to a fluid accumulation which in turn inflates further the fat deposits tissues. All of us has fat cells, and therefore it could possibly have an impact on anybody.
It is as well associated to genes apparently, not only for unhealthy lifestyle and in order to eliminate it, we definitely need a lot of adjustments in diet and lifestyle.
I got familiar with the Anti-Cellulite coffee scrub on the Dr Oz show when one of the audience came with this DIY beauty scrub. The magic formula in this particular scrub is the caffeine in the coffee.
High levels of caffeine works well when it comes to promoting blood flow and treating cellulite, enhances fat metabolism when it is topically applied, for this reason numerous luxury health spas use it in skincare therapies.
Coffee absorbs and removes liquid and fat from your skin which aids to minimize the appearance of dimpled skin on your thighs, but be aware that this is not a magic with instant solution, you need to religiously do this treatment 2x a week for a month to see results.
DIY Cellulite Scrub Recipe
½ Cup of Fresh Ground Coffee – use the coffee grounds within 15 minutes of brewing the coffee. Otherwise, it will begin to oxidize and not be as effective
¼ Cup of Sea Salt (optional)
¼ Cup of Brown Sugar
¼ Cup of Sweet Almond Oil or Olive Oil
Put together all the dry ingredients and pour in the sweet almond oil mix well and Spoon the scrub into a clean jar with a tight-fitting lid and store in a cool dark place.
How To Use:
While in the shower, massage the mixture into your skin in a circular motion, focusing on the front and back of your upper thighs or bum. Rinse off well with warm/tepid water.
Expect to get messy on this process, so doing this treatment inside the shower is advisable but it’s well worth the smooth bod you are coming out with.
And if you are worried about the coffee ground flushing down the drain, simply put a cheese cloth, a small screen cover or a coffee filter over your shower drain.
