It goes without saying that we go to great lengths to look our best, and the pain caused by waxing is a shining example of what we go through each month. While we take this as a fact of life, there is no point in having the same attitude towards the unreasonably high costs. It was the drive to save time and cash by not making a salon appointment, that led me to the conclusion that homemade wax is worth giving a try.
Half a lemon and a little sugar and honey is all it takes to prepare the wax and in a matter of minutes, the procedure can begin. It would be an understatement to say that this approach helped me save money, because a standard professional leg wax will cost at least $30. Add to this the time wasted on the road and the fact that you need to readjust your schedule, and you will be increasingly willing to experiment with homemade wax. Even if you acquire store-bought wax kits the costs would still be significantly lower.
I have to admit that the first time I use the sugaring kit, the result was a bit messy, and I was on the brink of giving up. Fortunately, I’m a patient person and carried on with my little self-improvement experiment, only to discover that it gets easier as my skills were honed. Acquiring the ingredients and the preparation is a piece of cake, and with a little practice, you end up mastering the waxing procedure.
