Halloween Costume Ideas 2009

Halloween costume ideasHalloween is just a month away which means its time to party and seems like most people start looking for fabulous Halloween costume ideas 2009. This year I believe the most in demand costumes to come out will be the vampire themes due to the popularity brought to us by “Twilight” movies, “The Vampire Diaries and “True Blood”.

Surely some incredibly popular dead celebrities will come out to be another option such the like of Michael Jackson, Patrick Swayze or Farrah Fawcett to name a few. And also the 60’s hippie costumes to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock.

Homemade Halloween Costumes

However, you can create your own homemade Halloween costume makeup as everyone loves creating her/his own unique appearance or distinctive visual effect during this celebrated Halloween event.

Basic Halloween face makeup is one of the most common types of ideas normally people would do aside from Halloween costumes.

Easy Halloween Recipes

Here’s how to create a simple face makeup recipe at home.
Ingredients:

  • Food coloring
  • Water
  • Cold cream
  • Cornstarch
  • Mix 1 tsp of cornstarch with ½ tsp of water, after that add half a teaspoon of cold cream. Stir all together until well blended completely. After this, you can add food coloring to the mixture to get your desired color.

Moreover, creating Fake Blood is one of the most popular Halloween costume makeup as well. You can create a recipe on this one but needs a little bit of practice.
The ingredients are simple, all you need are the following:

  • red food coloring
  • light corn syrup
  • hot water
  • liquid soap
  • green or red food coloring (optional)

  • Mix hot water and corn syrup in a bowl, make sure to add a little bit of water one at a time until you reach the consistency of fake blood. Once you get the desired consistency, hit lightly a small amount of liquid soap in the mixture to help you clean off the fake blood later.

After that, you can add the red base food coloring in the mixture and if you wish to create a darker fake blood, add a tad of blue or green food coloring and refrigerate until you need it.
Now you have 2 available common types of Halloween makeup recipes that you can create at your home.
