Grow your Hair 1 inch in One Week – Inversion Method Challenge

Have you heard about the inversion technique, which supposedly improves health? Well, neither had I but the method appeared among the results of my faster hair growth research.

Inversion apparently involves standing upside down or keeping the body at a somewhat inverted angle. The technique improves circulation, enhances brain functioning and stretches the spine in an all-natural way.

Also, the inversion method is supposed to speed up hair growth. It all sounded fun and simple, which is why I had to give the technique a try, after seeing many before/after pics. I did body inversions for seven days.

In the end, I did notice my hair looking stronger, fuller and healthier. Did it grow? I have to say that yes it did grow. I made the mistake of not measuring (guess I wasn’t too hopeful) but definitely will next month, and I’m going to track my progress.

When it comes to strengthening the hair, you don’t have to keep your entire body in an inverted position. Tilting your head will be sufficient to get the benefits. Want to give the inversion technique a try? Here’s what you need to do.

Inversion Method to grow hair: Note: In case you have any of the following conditions, you should not try this method.

  • Low or high blood pressure
  • Detached retina
  • Ear infection
  • Spinal injury
  • Heart or circulatory problems
  • Pregnancy, hernia
  • Osteoporosis
  • Obesity
  • Unhealed fractures or injuries
  • Recent stroke

You’ll Need:

  • castor oil
  • coconut oil
  • almond oil
  • olive oil

Directions:
① Grab your oils and create the hair oil using 1:1 ratio for each ingredient ( which means equal quantity of castor oil, almond, olive and coconut oil). Some suggest that you warm it up slightly but you can skip this method.

② Apply the mixture by section on your scalp (not on your entire hair). Then massage this oil with the help of your fingers, gently running it into the roots and hair for 5 mins.

③ Once the massaging is done, invert/tip your hair upside down gently and let it hang loosely, maintain a steady angle of inversion. But this trick made me dizzy.

So what I did, was to sit on the edge of a chair and invert my head and stayed in that position for about 4-5 minutes. By doing this, you’re bringing an increase blood circulation in your scalp. So if you increase the blood flow to your hair, you will inevitably raise and provide nutrients to your hair that will cause hair growth.

④ After that let the oil sit on the hair for 2 hours or braid your hair. I wrapped my hair with saran and let the oil sit overnight for better results.

⑤ Wash off the hair the next day with your herbal shampoo and conditioner.

⑥ Massage your scalp nightly with this oil mixture within 7 days and you will see results. I don’t know about you but it did work for me.

    Hi Calleigh,
    I noticed that it said a 1:1 ratio for all of the products. How much of each product did you use to be exact?
    Thanks in advance.

      @Marcia,
      1:1 ratio means – if you are using 1 tbsp of coconut oil, you need to use 1 tbsp of the other ingredients as well. Hope that helps.

    Hi Calleigh, I’m an African woman from West Africa. Do you think this method would really work for my VERY kinky, curly though soft full, pure African hair?

      @Ken O,
      Im not really sure but there’s no harm in trying. The trick here is the blood circulation and scalp massage which really helps to grow our hair if being done in a right way.
