Benefits of Grapefruit for Skin

Why add grapefruit to your toner? Grapefruit contains a high amount of vitamin. In fact, it has more vitamin C than oranges. Vitamin C is important for the production of collagen, which keeps skin firm. Grapefruit also contains naringin, a phytochemical that helps to reduce liver toxins, giving you healthy, beautiful skin.

Benefits of Green Tea for Skin

Green tea also offers many benefits for your skin, including important antioxidants that fight off free radicals, which can cause premature aging. Green tea also includes specific antioxidants known to help reduce breakouts. You’ll also find that using green tea topically helps to soothe skin, reducing irritation and inflammation. In fact, many creams for dark circles contain green tea extract. Add to that the fact that green tea has properties that help to prevent skin cancer and you have a fabulous ingredient that you’ll definitely want to use on skin.

Benefits of Witch Hazel for Skin

Adding witch hazel to the grapefruit and green tea is an excellent choice, since witch hazel offers so many skincare benefits. First, witch hazel has natural anti-inflammatory properties, which not only reduces inflammation caused by breakouts, but it can also help prevent aging. Witch hazel also has antimicrobial properties, which prevents breakouts. It’s potent astringent properties from the tannins in witch hazel leaves help to tighten skin while leaving skin with a protective layer.
