DIY Leave in Conditioner
Beauty comes from within and if you hope to turn your hair into the focal point of attention, you’d better make sure it is healthy first and foremost.
Avoiding haircare products that are rich in chemicals and quite often tested on animals is the right thing to do for a couple of reasons.
A do-it-yourself conditioning spray rich in coconut oil will bring even the dullest hair to life in no time, without hurting its structure or causing nasty long-term side effects.
The DIY hair oil recipe that I urge you to use have a two-pronged effect, on one hand, strengthening the hair and on the other, softening even the most unruly curls.
Compared to its commercial counterpart, the homemade solution is less expensive and can be used for long periods of times, which makes it a must-have haircare product.
DIY Conditioning Spray
- 2 Tbsp. coconut oil
- regular size Spray bottle
- Water
How much to apply is a matter of personal preference. Start gradually, a little goes a long way (in this case, you only need a very small amount; too much can make your hair look greasy).
DIY Conditioning Spray
① Add the coconut oil to the spray bottle. Since coconut oil solidifies in cool temperature, you can pop it up in the microwave for 10 seconds to liquefy it or you can use a bain marie (a fancy term for a hot water bath) or double boiler pot to melt the coconut oil.
② Fill the rest of the spray bottle with warm water (the coconut oil will melt right away) and fasten the top. Shake well.
③ Spritz the oil onto damp or dry locks. (Don’t over-spritz as you’ll end up with too oily locks.)
Your hair will be healthier and look more glamorous instantly. Did we mention how delicious you’ll smell?
Hi mam i m ur great fan.please suggest me some remedies for stubborn pigmentation.thank you.
Hey…I was wondering if I could use coconut water instead of regular water.
Wonderful idea , it’s great nourishment for the inside and outside of your body too. And great to cook with!
Hi.. Many thanks for your tips.. My mixture has turned into lumps not sure that I’m getting all the coccunut oil in the water… Any suggestions?
@Nora,
Try putting your coconut oil spray container in a cup with hot water and let it submerge for couple of minutes – repeat the process until the coconut oil starts to liquefy.
Shake the mixture vigorously before using.

No you leave it in. That’s why it’s called a “leave in conditioner”.
