The skin under the eyes is so delicate and thin that it is the one showing the first signs of aging. Looking for special hydrating products is the most important rule of keeping under-eye skin healthy.
Why Special Skincare is Needed?
The thin skin under the eye will absorb anything rather quickly. It will absorb the beneficial hydrating agents but it will also absorb many of the chemicals found in traditional skincare products.
This is why I recommend the use of a natural, homemade under-eye skin treatments. Once you get in the habit of making your cosmetics, you will find out that the process is quite simple. Most of the ingredients will already be available in your kitchen, which means that the creams are going to be affordable.
Many under-eye gels and creams are based on botanical formulas, but they contain a medley of chemicals, as well. These chemicals are used to preserve the cream for a longer period and to give it a nice fragrance. Just look at the label of one cream, and you will be surprised by the big number of chemical compounds that it contains.
This is why I decided to research some of the most powerful hydrating natural substances.
Why These Ingredients?
① Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is a cosmetic industry staple. You can easily benefit from the plant’s amazing qualities by growing your own. Aloe vera is a succulent plant that can be grown in a container. It requires very little care and extracting the gel from its leaves is a simple task, as well.
The natural aloe vera gel has an incredible soothing and hydrating qualities that make it perfect for the sensitive under-eye skin. Aloe vera gel is a wonderful source of glycoproteins that reduce inflammation and speed up healing processes. The plant juice is rich in polysaccharides, as well. The polysaccharides play a critical role in skin regeneration.
Also, aloe vera gel is a wonderful source of vitamins C and E. Both of these are vital for skin health because they stimulate collagen production. Collagen production maintains the elasticity and youthfulness of your skin.
Saffron is another great ingredient to add to the treatment because it lightens the skin and prevents the appearance of dark circles underneath the eyes.
Such a natural formula can be enriched even further through the addition of almond paste and rose water. Rose water is another 100 percent natural and incredibly soothing substance. The almond paste is an excellent option for maintaining the skin smooth and for preventing the appearance of fine wrinkles underneath the eyes.
This is a very basic recipe that relies on four primary ingredients. The combination maintains the under-eye skin elastic, properly hydrated and soothed. Give it a try today to experience the amazing benefits for yourself.
