It’s always exciting to make a new DIY skincare recipe. Recently, I found an excellent recipe for a sea salt toner. Once I made it and tried it on my skin, I loved the results that it offered.

While I don’t deal with acne anymore, sometimes my skin becomes a bit troubled due to hormone fluctuations. Since many people find that swimming in salt water helps clear up their skin, I thought that this toner would provide some great skincare results for my skin too.

Many people with acne find that after swimming in the ocean their skin looks a lot clearer. This is because salt is a natural antiseptic, and helps heal the skin.

Note: If you make your own DIY sea salt toner out of ground sea salt and some water, it’s important to realize that it will dry skin out just a bit.

This means that you don’t want to use it too often. People with oily skin may be okay using the toner every evening before they head to bed.

However, if you find that the toner dries out skin too much, you can always start using it every other day to avoid excess dryness.

I’ve been alternating the sea salt toner with my ACV toner.

So far so good! I highly recommend that you try this, especially if you have moderate-severe acne. Make sure that you moisturize your skin after using the toner for the best results.

This is a very quick, and extremely cheap, DIY tutorial to help give you clear, beautiful skin:

You’ll Need:

  • Fill a regular size spray bottle with distilled water.
  • Add (approx) 1 tbsp of ground sea salt to the water, close lid, and shake well until the salt disappears.

  • Shake well before each use.
  • Spray toner onto a cotton pad, and apply to your skin (after cleansing)
  • Moisturize as usual.

for ACNE SPOT TREATMENT recipe:
This simple DIY recipe will clear up those blemishes: mix 1 tablespoon sea salt with ½ tablespoon of tap water; apply as a paste on the spots.

FREQUENCY OF USE:
Use this as you feel necessary. Everyone’s skin is different. For example: If you find it a bit too drying use it every other day, as apposed to everyday.

Benefits of Sea Salt

Sea salt offers a number of great skincare benefits. First, salt naturally detoxifies, since the salt helps to absorb toxins in the skin.

This kind of salt also has antiseptic affects as well, which helps to kill the bacteria that can cause acne to occur.

Salt also has healing properties and when you use it on skin, it helps to gently heal skin, whether you have acne or your skin seems a bit troubled at the time.

If you have any pimples or small cuts on your face, the sea salt will help to heal them. This makes it a great option for people suffering from acne, offering quick healing.

Not only does this DIY sea salt toner offer excellent results, but it also is so easy to make. With a spray bottle, some ground sea salt and some water, you’ll have your toner done in no time.

Choose any sea salt you want when making the toner. Just make sure you always shake the toner before you spray it on your skin.
