The Miraculously Beneficial Honey and Cinnamon Mixture

Cinnamon and honey are two of the most beneficial superfoods that nature has gifted us. If you have some interest in healthy living, you have heard at least a little bit about their incredible qualities.

Honey has powerful anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. Cinnamon is mainly recognized for its ability to maintain blood sugar levels steady. This quality makes it perfect for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

Cinnamon has also been used to promote weight loss in an all-natural way. The combination of these two powerful natural remedies will deliver even better results. Here are some of the numerous conditions that can be treated with a mixture of honey and cinnamon.

① Arthritis
Honey and cinnamon can be used for the creation of a topical arthritis remedy. If drunk regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured.

How to Do:
Add one part of honey to two parts of lukewarm water. Stir well and add a teaspoon or two of cinnamon powder. Massage the paste into the area where the pain is felt. You will soon experience relief.

Another option:
The treatment could also include a tablespoon of honey and a teaspoon of cinnamon powder dissolved in a cup of hot water.

This mixture should be consumed three times per day for the provision of relief from the chronic arthritis pain.



② Hair Loss
Is your hair looking very thing and lifeless? Have you been suffering from excessive hair loss lately? You can use honey and cinnamon to nourish the hair follicles and to stimulate hair growth.

How to Do: Mix two tablespoons of warm olive oil with one teaspoon of honey and half a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Mix until you get a homogenous paste and apply to the scalp before having a shower. Let the mask stay on for 15 to 20 minutes and wash your hair in the usual way.

You will soon notice that your hair is becoming shinier and stronger.



③ Bladder Infections
Bacterial bladder and urinary infections can be treated in an all-natural way. You guessed it – honey and cinnamon can provide relief within a very short period of time.

How to Do: Add one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and one tablespoon of honey to a glass of lukewarm water. Drink this on a daily basis to kill all of the bacteria responsible for the urinary infection.



④ Toothache
The pain associated to tooth and gum problems can be excruciating.

How to Do: To decrease its severity, mix two tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon.

Apply the mix in the affected area. Use this natural remedy until you get the chance to schedule an appointment with your dentist.



⑤ Cholesterol
How to Do: People that have chronically high cholesterol levels can use a remedy made of two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of cinnamon powder.

This mix is added to 16 ounces of tea water and consumed three times per day. Studies show that this remedy will result in a drop in the level of bad cholesterol within hours. When used for a prolonged period, the remedy will deliver long-lasting results.

As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken 3 times a day any chronic cholesterol is cured. As per the information received in the said journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complains of cholesterol.



⑥ Cold and Cough
Colds and other types of upper respiratory infections can be very stubborn and accompanied by a range of unpleasant symptoms like coughing, sneezing, runny nose, sore throat and overall weakness.

How to Do: Add a quarter of a teaspoon of cinnamon to a tablespoon of honey and eat this mix daily. The anti-bacterial qualities of honey will deliver relief from the symptoms within a few days.



⑦ Infertility
Honey was called “the nectar of the gods” by many ancient civilizations because of its medicinal uses.

Among other medicinal uses, honey was a part of a remedy for boosting fertility both in men and women.

How to Do: According to the results of one study, pollen can be used to stimulate ovarian function in women.

Honey can also be used to increase sexual stamina and improve the quality of sperm. Couples that are trying to conceive can take two tablespoons of honey mixed with a pinch of cinnamon on a daily basis.

⑧ Upset Stomach
Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach ulcers from the root.

How to Do: Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply on bread instead of jelly and jam and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from heart attack.

How to Do: Eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections are cured by applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts.



⑯ Weight Loss
How to Do: Daily in the morning, 1/2 hour before breakfast on an empty stomach and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup water.

People of South America, first thing in the morning gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water. So their breath stays fresh throughout the day.

    Hi, Can we just use any cinnamon or is there some particular variety and secondly can v hve dis honey n Cinnamon mixture in summers too since cinnamon is supposed to b a hot spice.

      hi Simran,
      Use ceylon cinnamon if available. Also, you can still drink this mixture even summer time – just drink it cold 20 minutes after meal.

      Hi Ruchira,
      Just add 1 tbsp of raw honey and 1 tsp of cinnamon to an 8 or 10 oz of warm water.

    For weightloss,is it ok if honey and cinnamon powder is mixed in lukewarm water instead of boiling water? And can we add fresh lemon juice too to it?

      @Suziena,
      You can add cinnamon powder with boiling water but NOT the honey. You can add freshly squeeze lemon juice as well to boost the effect.
