When I was young, I presumed that blackheads meant, your skin was filthy but it’s not the case right now. As I understand that blackheads form when the sebum/oil in clogged pores interacts with the air. If you are struggling for blackheads, I’ve done some research for few DIY home remedies that would ban those pesky blackheads for good.
Take Preventative Measures:
1 1. At Home Facials:
Forget spending time and money at your local spa. The secret to great skin is as close as your kitchen! Pamper yourself with these simple, homemade facial masks.
- Milk Facials: Make a mask by mixing 1 tbsp powdered milk with enough water to form a thick paste, you can add a pinch of turmeric (optional) for added benefits. Thoroughly coat your face with the mixture, let dry completely, then rinse with warm water. Your face will feel fresh and rejuvenated.
- Egg Facials: For a little pampering, head to the refrigerator and grab an egg. If you have dry skin that needs moisturizing, separate the egg and beat the yolk. Oily skin takes the egg white, to which a bit of lemon or honey can be added. For normal skin, use the entire egg. Apply the beaten egg, relax and wait 30 minutes, then rinse. You’ll love your new fresh face.
- Yogurt Facial Masks: You don’t have to go to a spa to give your face a quick assist. To cleanse your skin and tighten the pores, slather some plain yogurt on your face and let it sit for about 20 minutes. For a revitalizing facial mask, mix 1 teaspoon plain yogurt with the juice from 1/4 slice of orange, some of the orange pulp, and 1 teaspoon aloe. Leave the mixture on your face for at least five minutes before rinsing it off.
- Ice Cube Facial with Green Tea & Vit. E: It may not sound that particularly pleasant, but running an ice cube over your face has a lot of benefits for your skin. Besides giving your face a dewy, glowing look, the frosty cubes will help to smooth your complexion by combating fat cells, ease wrinkles, fight acne, and promote blood circulation that will help heal blemishes.
By simply massaging your face with ice cubes for a minute or two before bed, you will essentially be giving yourself a mini facial. (Just be sure to wrap the cubes in a paper towel, or a baggie, because applying them directly to your skin can cause delicate blood vessels to break.) For an added “ahh” to this spa-inspired treatment, try freezing your cubes with added vitamin E and green tea.
2 2. Facial Toners:
Do you use toners? If you don’t, you might want to start using them. Toner is used to remove soap residues, dead skin cells and excess oil from your skin. This allows your skin to be CLEAR enough to properly absorb moisturizer and other skincare products.
These acne/ acne scar reducing toners could last 2 weeks if stored in a fridge. Keep out of reach of children. Use every time after you wash your face. (make sure to avoid the eye areas.) Note: Please test the products on your wrist before applying directly onto your face, to ensure you will not have an allergic reaction.
Blackheads Prevention Toner:
You’ll Need:
1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar (Do not add this if you have sensitive skin)
5 tablespoons of green tea or 100% witch hazel (6-7 tablespoons for sensitive skin)**
8 Uncoated 325mg Aspirin tablets or a drop of willow bark extract or 100% pure Cassia Bark essential oil ***
Instructions: Mix all the ingredients together in a sealable dark container and store it in a fridge. Shake or Stir it well before you use to make sure Aspirin has completely dissolved.
Application: Take some in your palm or put some on a cotton ball, and then dab onto the area you tend to get acne/pimples. Note: Avoid eye area! This may look your skin red for a few minutes but it will go away.
Goodbye Acne Scars Toner
You’ll Need:
1 tablespoon of (Apple) Cider Vinegar* (Do not add this if you have sensitive skin. Add 1 tablespoon of Green tea instead)
5 tablespoons of pure Rose Water****
1 teaspoon of aloe gel/juice or vegetable glycerine for moisturizing + nourishing your skin (you can put more or less depending on your personal preference)
Instructions: Mix all the ingredients together in a sealable dark container and store it in a fridge.
Application: Take some in your palm or put some on a cotton ball, and then dab onto the area you tend to get acne/pimples. Note: Avoid eye area!
Why These Ingredients:
Cider Vinegar: Do NOT use regular vinegar. it does not have the effective nutrients because it’s distilled and it’s also too strong for your skin. Cider vinegar should have a brownish tint. Cider vinegar is packed full of ALPHA HYDROXY+ AMINO ACIDS. Those acids gently dissolve dead skin and fatty deposits on your skin’s surface. The malic acid gently exfoliates the skin, breaking up scar tissue and helps even indented scars. Cider Vinegar is also a natural powerful skin detox cleanser, unclogging your pores and scaly skin and also controls your oil levels on your skin. Balances PH of your skin and also has vitamin A, B2-6,E, and C to repairs skin cells for softer supple skin.
Green Tea: Repairs skin cells and removes excess water (reduces puffiness).
Keep in mind that the water temperature should be around 150-160 ºF / 65-70ºC (Small bubbles will float to the surface of the water 160-170 ºF / 70-76 ºC), and only steeped for 2-4 minutes. If you use boiling water to make green tea, it kills anti-oxidants.
Aspirin and Willow Bark extract and 100% pure Cassia Bark essential oil: contain salicylic acid which works inside pores to help remove blackheads and whiteheads.
Pure Rose Water: The scent of rose increases the secretion of female hormones. The hormones help treat acne, acne scars, correct period irregularities and help fight osteoporosis. The hormones also help combat issues such as hyperlipidemia and arteriosclerosis, and also help maintain beautiful skin elasticity by increasing the amount of moisture in the skin.

How do i known whether my is skin is sensitive or no? I just assume it as sensitive because i suffer from acne.
@Swat,
If you are easily irritated by the sun, certain cosmetic products and if you are prone to redness, itchy patches or blotchy skin, you likely have sensitive skin.
hi.. I just want to ask if the toner can be use to normal skin that don’t have acne/acne scars.. by the way I love your page so helpful.. thanks a lot..
@Chie,
You can use this toner, just skip the aspirin then.
Only use of rose water as toner is beneficial ir not for skin,
@Fatima,
Using rose toner is good as well.
