① When you boil the banana with the skin on, the water leaches out the magnesium, potassium, and tannin.

How Does It Work?
Bananas, especially the peels, contain potassium and magnesium. While magnesium helps prevent sleep disturbances, both magnesium, and potassium work together to help relax muscles. In fact, magnesium is one of the best minerals for relaxation! Tannin is the substance in tea that calms you.

The magnesium is also another remedy for sleep. It is an age-old remedy for insomnia since it relaxes the muscles to help you fall asleep faster and sounder.



② Before you boil the banana, cut the ends off so the inside is exposed.

The boiling also helps remove the nutrients from the banana which makes it known as best tea for sleep, which include vitamin B6, manganese, vitamin C, potassium, and biotin.



③ Drinking the tea puts the nutrients into your body quickly in an easy to retrieve form. You can also eat the cooked banana afterward, including the skin. The cooking process softened the fiber and made it easier to eat and digest.


Banana Tea Recipe 1:

Ingredients Needed:

  • Organic banana
  • 2 cups of water
  • dash of cinnamon (optional)

Directions:

② Once it’s all cleaned, cut off both ends of the banana and place it, into boiling water. Simmer it for about 10 minutes.



③ After 10 minutes, turn off the fire and pour the water into a mug using a colander. Add a dash of cinnamon If you want some flavor. Drink it one hour before going to bed.


Creamy Banana Tea Recipe 2:

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon carob or cacao powder (instead of chocolate so there is no caffeine)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon (also helps in sleep).

Directions:
① Make sure to wash the banana even if it’s organic. Then start boiling the water.

② Add the ingredients and boil for about 10 minutes. Strain, and drink 30-60 min before bedtime.
