Our hair is constantly exposed to the negative influences of everyday life (blow drying, styling products, hair dyes, heat, sun exposure, etc). Another common reason for split hair is when your hair’s natural oils fail to reach the ends.

In the end, our hair gets damaged, loses its shine and attractiveness.

The most common type of hair damage is split ends. Split ends don’t grow well, become fragile, dim and sad looking. Unfortunately, if your hair has split ends already, it is very difficult to restore them.

So, the best remedy is to prevent your hair’s ends from splitting in the first place. One of the more effective ingredients for the prevention of split ends is a banana.

Why Banana?

Banana hair conditioner is a perfect natural hair conditioner. Being rich in vitamins, natural oils, carbohydrates, and vitamins, it soothes the cuticle and helps in softening the hair.

Bananas improve the hair’s natural elasticity, thus preventing breakage and split ends. Bananas also help your hair shine and improve its growth.

Banana is rich in carbohydrates, natural oils, and potassium, which transforms your hair in 3 ways.

  1. It seals cuticles, repairing split ends.
  2. It improves the elasticity of hair, making it super silky.
  3. It replenishes hair its lost oil, preventing dryness.

Banana Hair Conditioner:

  • Mashed 1 banana with 1 egg yolk (add more banana depends on your hair length)
  • Add 2 tablespoon coconut oil or olive oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey

Directions:

① Mash the banana and add the egg yolk, blend all the ingredients thoroughly. Apply the mixture to your scalp and hair. Wrap your hair in plastic bag or hair cap.

② Leave it on for 30 minutes (or overnight). Rinse off with cold water, then wash off with shampoo and condition as usual. Do this twice or thrice a week to see results.
