When you put a bit more effort into some things, the results are wonderful, especially as a woman — in your health, your body, your skin, your hair. It can be about that extra five little minutes a day, 30 more minutes a week. Try to shut the world out.
If you’re a mom, you just say, ‘Okay, here, you’re going to watch a movie, I’m going to take a bath.’ Take the time to have a bath, to do a face mask. It really makes you feel better!
And that is what makes you more beautiful — the inner-sparkle that shines out. My whole thing about skincare is starting from the inside, out. There’s no cream that’s going to make you beautiful.
So, here’s a quick facial mask that I’ve been using if my skin needs some “pick-me-up” and you can try it too.
Baking soda will gently remove dead skin cells build up and hydrogen peroxide is a natural bacteria fighter, it is also a brightener.
- 2 tbsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp hydrogen peroxide
This mask is suitable for all non-irritated skin types.
① Place both ingredients in a bowl and mix them well.
② Gently apply the mixture directly to the skin using both hands. Using soft strokes, glide fingers over the face and neck, avoiding eye area and nostrils.
③ Count quickly to twenty and rinse immediately.
The hydrogen peroxide also carries one molecule of oxygen that will increase circulation and oxygen to the skin. It also carries anti-bacterial properties.
This one will brighten and gently remove dead cell buildup with an easy one-two punch.
