For those who have a flawless complexion over the age of 30, I’m virtually high-fiving you. You’re among the fortunate few.

For the majority of us, we feel confident with a little concealer and base on. However, there are some days when the idea of putting makeup on our skin doesn’t feel like it.

Those days when we would like to have a breather from make-up.

better skin without makeup

Here ’s my guidance on the best way to get the perfect skin for your age with no bit of make-up.

Drink lots water. I understand you’ll likely yawn when you read the rest of this part, but need not to. You’re dehydrated if your pee looks yellow, but if you drink lots of water, your system goes to keep your vital organs working which work to help the skin.

By drinking water, your skin looks more opaque and essentially making your skin appear plumper, plus it’ll flush out toxins. Consider water as Mother Nature’s attractiveness elixir.

I also get bored of drinking water, so I reverted to drinking hot water, boiled in the pot. Try it; I believe you’ll be surprised!

① Protect your Skin with Sunscreen

Don’t ever think you should only use sunscreen for a day at the beach. It’s important every day, even when it’s cloudy since the clouds only block 20 percent of the UV rays.

The sun can create all types of problems from brown aging spots to broken blood vessels. Sunscreen can protect your skin and keep it looking it’s youngest. Make sure it’s at least an SPF50.

② Work Off your Extra Cortisol – Be Active

When you’re under stress, your body creates cortisol, which makes skin cells age. Exercise is a great stress buster that burns off the cortisol. It also increases your breathing, lung capacity and stimulates circulation, sending more oxygen nutrients through the blood and to the skin. It also reduces inflammation.

③ Exfoliate for Fabulous Looking Skin

Sloughing off dead skin is the fastest way to see results. When you slough off dead skin, not only does your face glow; your skin is softer and younger looking.

You may already use a buffing glove or scrub, but you also can include a weekly chemical exfoliator to your regimen once or twice a week, depending on your skin type.

You can replace moisturizing products with chemical exfoliators you leave on your skin that use ingredients which do a deep exfoliation, type of as it removes dirt trapped in the pores and other debris, which often leads to blackheads and pimples.

Some of these products contain natural ingredients, such as rosewater, which acts as a natural anti-inflammatory while using exfoliation lifts off the dead cells and reveals vulnerable new cells, be sure to use a high SPF sunscreen after you do it.

④ Your Skin Loves Extra Loving

Sex can benefit your skin too. Sexual relations stimulates the production of growth hormones. These improve the substructure of the skin, firming and tightening it. As it tightens, fine lines and wrinkles seem to disappear.

According to Dr. Wechsler, sex also stimulates the release of oxytocin. Oxytocin blocks the effects of cortisol, a stress hormone, which not only dries the skin, it breaks down collagen. Dr. Wechsler also noted it improves sleep that can help your complexion too.

⑤ A Facial Mask Doesn’t Have to Take Extra Time

If you’ve avoided using facial masks because the thought of just sitting and waiting for it to do its job, makes you a little queasy, here’s some good news.

You don’t have just to sit and wait. Use the time to get work done around the house or on the computer. You can sleep on it, too and wash the mask off in the morning.

⑥ A Healthy Diet has Extra Benefits for the Skin

Eating whole foods, you’ll get all types of benefits besides weight loss and increased nutrition. Healthy foods contain the building blocks for healthy skin, besides improving your mood and lowering stress levels. That spells healthy skin. Your skin will glow after a few weeks on a healthy diet.

⑦ Stop and Smell the Roses.

You need relaxation to create better health and make your skin look fabulous. Lean back and empty your mind or take a long bubble bath using scents like lavender or vanilla, which add to the relaxation.

⑧ Deep-breathing can lower stress levels and benefit your skin.

There’s a right way to practice deep breathing. You breathe in through your nose while relaxing your abdominal muscles and fill the lungs to capacity as though you were filling our belly with all the air.

You zap stress instantly and reap benefits for your skin. Pets and get-togethers with good friends can have the same relaxing effect.

⑨ Use Finishing Powder Lightly

If you use too much powder, your skin suffers from a chalky look. Oily skin has unique problems, such as matting at the oiliest part of the skin, the T-zone. When you use matte powder, use one that offers SPF protection.
