Maintaining your skin beautiful and youthful will be difficult, especially if you have some poor habits causing premature aging.

The appearance of wrinkles will take place sooner than usual, if you ignore the negative effects of some really common lifestyle and beauty mistakes.

Beauty-habits-that-give-you-wrinkles

① Cigarette Smoking
Premature skin aging is one of cigarette smoking’s negative consequences.

Cigarettes contain a wide range of harmful chemicals that affect the condition of the skin and cause the premature appearance of wrinkles.

Studies involving identical twins show how detrimental smoking can be, causing significant early aging in one of the twins.

Consider quitting if you want to have beautiful and elastic skin. This is just one of the benefits you will start enjoying by dealing with this harmful habit.

② Chewing Gum!
Frequent gum chewing will result in the appearance of specific mouth wrinkles. Maintaining your breath minty and fresh is essential but you can achieve that without relying on gum.

Gum chewing can cause additional mouth structure issues. This is one of the habits that can be given up effortlessly, so start buying mints instead of gum today.

③ Sleeping with Your Makeup on
Sleeping with makeup on or failing to remove makeup properly will result in quick skin aging. The makeup and the pollutants that it has accumulated will clog the pores and prevent the skin from “breathing” during the night.

Get in the habit of taking makeup off immediately after coming home. You should also do a bit of research and choose the right makeup removal products for your skin type. Pick lotions and creams that contain natural extracts that will clean and nourish the skin at the same time.

④ Alcohol Consumption
Alcoholic beverages will dehydrate the skin, whether you are drinking wine or your favorite cocktail.

After drinking too much alcohol, you will notice your skin becoming lifeless and dull. You will also notice a loss of elasticity if you continue going out every night and having a bit too much to drink.

Alcoholic beverages will have an effect on your vitamin A levels, which is another cause of concern for skin health. The positive effects of proper hydration and vitamin intake will be lost if you are into regular alcoholic beverage consumption.

⑤ No Protection against the Sun
Do you need yet another reminder to start using sunscreen on a daily basis? If you are concerned about keeping your skin youthful, you will have to get in that habit as soon as possible.

The sun can cause collagen breakdown, which will quickly result in the appearance of wrinkles. Use sunscreen every single day to slow down the hands of time. You will also be protecting your skin from more serious issues connected to the sun’s harmful influence.

⑥ Poor Diet
Young and beautiful skin starts with your diet. Are you giving your skin the vitamins and the minerals that it need to be elastic and beautiful?

Consuming too much refined sugar and foods that affect your blood sugar levels will cause premature skin aging. The harmful process that will affect the condition of your skin is called glycation.

Too much sugar will make your skin feel puffy and lacking elasticity. Start consuming larger quantities of fresh fruits, vegetables and wholegrain products.

⑦ Acne Treatments
The manner in which you treat acne-prone skin could be a serious cause of concern. Picking your pimples or relying on cosmetics containing alcohol will make your skin damaged and dry.

Refrain from picking on pimples and blackheads. You will possibly cause the formation of ugly scars or you will get the area infected, thus making the outbreak even more severe.

⑧ How do You Apply Makeup?
Do you stretch your skin to put makeup on? This huge mistake will result in the premature appearance of wrinkles. Refrain from stretching the delicate skin around your eyes when applying eyeliner or mascara. There are gentle methods for applying makeup that will leave the skin in perfect condition when you are done.

⑨ Sleeping Position
You will get wrinkles early if your face presses against the pillow during the night.

Getting in the habit of sleeping on your back can be time consuming or absolutely impossible. You can opt for silk or satin pillowcases to minimize the impact of your sleeping position on skin health.
