Summer might be over and one of the major incentives for losing weight is off the table, but this doesn’t mean that we can indulge in unhealthy foods and forget completely about exercise.

Instead, this is the best time to start a moderate diet because we are no longer under pressure and have plenty of time to reach the desired proportions without pushing our body to the limits. It is also a good time to test different recipes that promise to help us lose weight while detoxifying your body.

flush-water

We’ve heard a great deal about Fat Flush Water and it is the catchy name that makes it downright irresistible for those struggling to get rid of excess fat.

It is also a good time to test different recipes that promise to help us lose weight while detoxifying your body. We’ve heard a great deal about Fat Flush Water and it is the catchy name that makes it downright irresistible for those struggling to get rid of excess fat.

While having this effect on the body, it also brilliantly succeeds in speeding up the elimination of toxins that build up inside. Sometimes what we can’t see is much more dangerous than what meets the eye, so if we can get rid of fat and toxins in one clean sweep, we would be fools not to give it a try.

Add to this the fact that the concoction is just as tasty as it is healthy and it makes perfect sense to start right away. Fruits are the key ingredients, with all of them being mixed together with ice and filtered water.

The result is a refreshing drink that we should keep around all the time and take small sips of it even when we are not genuinely thirsty.

① Dz Oz Fat Flush Water
These are healthy foods with qualities that can be helpful during weight loss — peppermint helps with digestion & stomach calm, grapefruit contains an antioxidant flavonoid that can increase insulin sensitivity.

Tangerines are a rich source of vitamin C which stimulates the liver’s premier antioxidant (glutathione), and cucumbers have diuretic properties and help you feel full which means less bloating and water retention.

You’ll Need:

  • 4-5 wedges of peeled grapefruit (take off the rind)
  • 1/2 cucumber sliced
  • 1 tangerine sliced
  • fresh mint leaves (use as many as you want)
  • 1/2 gallon of filtered water
  • ice

Directions:
Rinse grapefruit, tangerine, cucumber and mint leaves. Slice cucumber, grapefruit, and tangerine (or peel).

Combine all ingredients in a half gallon pitcher.

Allow the ingredients to sit for one hour for maximum benefits by putting the pitcher in the fridge.

Drink at least one 8 ounce glass three times a day before each meal for 10 days straight.

② Apple Cinnamon Detox Water (as seen on Dr. Oz)

This is known as the Zero Calorie detox water because it contains nearly zero calories. There are calories from the apple, but they’re pretty negligible.

The cinnamon it contains is going to help stimulate your internal organs to cleanse themselves, while the apple is providing you with its all natural source of vitamins and minerals.

Way better than just drinking regular water and a helpful boost to any detox program.

apple-cinnamon-1

You’ll Need:

  • a large pitcher
  • fresh apples
  • 1 cinnamon stick or 1 tsp Ceylon cinnamon powder
  • a squeeze of lemon to keep apples fresher
  • filtered water
  • ice

Directions:
This recipe has a 1:1:1 ratio, meaning you’ll need 1 apple and 1 cinnamon stick (or 1 tsp of cinnamon powder) for 1 pitcher of water.

You can leave the same apple and cinnamon stick in the pitcher for up to three days while refilling the water.

Slice the apple and toss the slices into the pitcher with the cinnamon stick (or cinnamon powder).

Cover with ice, then fill the pitcher with water and allow it to set in the fridge for 15 minutes before drinking.

Enjoy it throughout the day in the place of any juice or soda you would normally have!

③ Cucumber Lemon Mint Detox Water (aka Sassy Water)

Cucumbers are one of the most hydrating vegetables because they’re mostly made up of water. Many detox programs include cucumbers on them for this very reason, and adding them to your water pulls out their minerals so you’re getting an added benefit.

Directions:
Mix in the lemon juice and you’re getting the cleansing effect of citric acid and helping to clear out the digestive system.

The mint makes things taste fresh and crisp, and help you digest more effectively.

cucumber-lemon-1

You’ll Need:

  • a large pitcher
  • 1 small cucumber sliced
  • 1 lemon thinly sliced
  • 10-15 fresh mint leaves
  • filtered water
  • ice

Directions:
Rinse lemons and cucumbers very well before slicing; slice thinly. Add lemons, cucumber, and mint to pitcher.
Cover with water and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight (the flavor will be stronger if you refrigerate overnight, but I like the lighter flavor, too).
Pour in a large glass over some ice…it’s very refreshing!

④Jillian Michaels Detox Water

For sure you’ve heard about the famous Jillian Michaels’ water detox recipe where she recommended the use of cranberry juice, lemon juice, and dandelion tea, all mixed together with a lot of water to shed some extra pounds.

Dandelion tea is known for breaking down fat and removing it from your body via good old-fashioned waste. Basically, lemon juice, cranberry juice, and tea are all natural diuretics.

And of course, if you drink at least 60 ounces of water per day that helps flush things out.

Jillian-Michael's-detox-tea

You’ll Need:

  • 60 oz purified water
  • 2 tbsp pure cranberry juice (unsweetened)
  • 1 bag dandelion tea
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ice

Directions:
Make the tea as directed. Mix all other ingredients together in a plastic water container or pitcher.

Let the tea cool to room temperature then add to the pitcher. I also squeezed the tea bag over the pitcher to produce more tea before discarding of the bag.

Drink all 60 oz. of tea each day for 7 days!

④ Strawberry Detox Water

Strawberries are a great way to add flavor to most anything while these fruits are loaded with antioxidants and added vitamins and minerals to your body.

This makes it a great detox recipe to use in the summer when it’s easier to build up a sweat. It will help to make your detoxing efforts more enjoyable and seem like less of a chore.

strawberry

You’ll Need:

  • 1 large pitcher
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 2 cups watermelon cubes
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • a dash of coarse salt
  • filtered water
  • ice

Directions:
Muddle the strawberries and rosemary in a bowl. Add the muddled ingredients and the watermelon to a large pitcher. Pour water over the ingredients and stir. Refrigerate for 4-6 hours, and enjoy!

⑤ Easy Morning Detox & Energy Routine: Apple Cider Vinegar Elixir

Apple cider vinegar is a handy detoxing aid and it’s good to keep a bottle of it in the cupboard. It is a natural remedy for heartburn and helps control weight.

Can help regulate blood sugar (if you are diabetic, this could make a huge difference) while aids in promoting digestion and will keep you regular.

apple-cider-detox

You’ll Need:

  • 1 large pitcher
  • 2 tbsp of raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp of ceylon cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp of cranberry, grape or apple juice
  • 1/2 tsp of honey or stevia (powdered)
  • filtered water
  • ice

Directions:
Mix all the above ingredients and with few sips of this magical elixir will invigorate you every morning and will keep you healthy.

⑥ Lemon and Cayenne Pepper Detox (Master Cleanse)
Eliminate years of toxic waste (pounds of phlegm, mucus, and other waste too disgusting to mention). Losing weight is an added bonus, especially as a lot of the fat and waste is burned from around the waist line.

The detox will recharge your cells and vital organs and you will feel an incredible boost of energy.

lemon

You’ll Need:

  • 10 oz of filtered water
  • 2 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoons of organic grade B maple syrup
  • 1/10 Teaspoon of finely ground cayenne pepper

Directions:
Mix above ingredients in 8 oz. of fresh spring water, hot or cold. Enjoy!

It is recommended that you drink at least 6-8 glasses of this mixture per day during your fast.

For best results, fast for 7-10 days. For more experienced detoxers, the detox can be extended up to 14.

Always check with your doctor or natural practitioner before and during a detox.

⑦ Simple Detox Water
It’s recommended that you take the juice from half a lemon and squeeze it into the water you drink when first waking up. The lemon juice helps to get your digestive system going and prepares it for its daily duties to come.

lemon-water

You’ll Need:

  • 1 glass filtered water
  • 1 fresh lemon juice

Directions:
Grab some thinly sliced lemon and add them to a glass of water and drink.
Adopting just this one practice of drinking a cup of warm water with lemon in the morning for a month can radically alter your experience of the day.
Don’t be surprised if you begin to view mornings in a new light!
