Homemade peels made from natural ingredients provide a better option, helping you solve skin problems the natural way.

Here’s a closer look at facial peels, the benefits they offer and some of the best recipes for DIY facial peels.

Facial Peels – A Look at the Benefits
There are so many benefits of facial peels. To start:

  • They help in improving texture of the skin by cleaning the pores and moisturizing it.
  • They also fight acne by exfoliating dead skin cells that tend to clog pores.
  • Facial peels removes excess oil from the skin to prevent pimples and acne. The fruit peels aids in lightening scars due to the action of antioxidants present in it.
  • They provide fair complexion by hydrating the skin and removing hyper pigmentation.

If you are looking to remove your sun tan, a fail peel has the capability of repairing sun damage in a fast and natural way. In fact, they promote overall skin health and removes dullness when used on a regular basis, and help in providing a radiant younger looking skin.

Recipes for Homemade Facial Peels

① Lemon Orange Facial Peel – For a Glowing Skin

What to Do: Make a thick paste by adding juice of one lemon, one orange with a small packet of gelatin in a bowl. Heat the mixture until all the ingredients dissolves to form a thick consistency. Place the bowl in the refrigerator to cool it completely. Beat one egg yolk and add it to the mixture.

Clean your face and neck, and apply the mixture evenly on your skin. Let it stay for 30 minutes and rinse it with lukewarm water.

② Tomato Facial Peel – To Combat Dry, Damaged skin and Remove Suntan

What to Do: Take one ripe tomato and blend it to make a thick paste. Apply the paste on your skin and leave it for 25-30 minutes. Wash off with cold water to reveal the glowing skin. Use this rejuvenating facial peel 2-3 times a week to reduce skin damage.

③ Egg White Peel – For a Wrinkle Free Skin

What to Do: Beat one egg white and mix it with ½ cup of de-seeded cucumber pulp. Add one teaspoon of lemon juice and mix well. Apply the paste on your skin and let it stay for 20 minutes and rinse with water.

Egg whites are excellent for reducing wrinkles while the cucumber aids in removing hyperpigmentation from the skin.

④ Facial Fruit Peel – For a Smooth Skin

What to Do: You will need ¼ cup papaya pulp, ½ cup pineapple pulp and 2 teaspoon of honey to make the facial peel. Mix all the ingredients together and apply it on the skin. Wash with cold water after half an hour to get a radiant skin.

The antioxidants present in fruits help in repairing the skin and provides a smooth texture and long-lasting glow to it.

⑤ Avocado Honey Peel – For Deep Moisturizing and Scar Removal

What to Do: Mix one mashed avocado with 2 tablespoon of honey and 2 beaten egg whites. Apply the paste in your face and neck and leave it until dry. Wash with cold water and pat dry your skin.

The egg whites and honey moisturize the skin while the mashed avocado helps in fading away scars and hyperpigmentation, thereby providing an even texture to the skin.

⑥ Baking Soda and Aspirin Peel – To Exfoliate the Dead Skin cells

What to Do: For a gentle exfoliation, mix crushed aspirin with some baking soda. Add a teaspoon of lemon juice and mix well. Apply the paste on your skin and leave it for 20-25 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water to get rid of dead skin cells and other impurities of the skin.

⑦ Gelatin Orange Facial Peel – To Restore pH of the Skin

What to Do: Heat a small packet of unflavored gelatin and add the pulp of one tomato and two tablespoon of orange juice to it. Mix well until all the ingredients dissolve. Cool the mixture and apply it on the skin.

Let it stay for 20-25 minutes before rinsing off with water. The ingredients used in this facial peel helps in maintaining pH balance of the skin while cleaning it gently.

⑧ Egg Yolk Facial Peel – For skin repair

What to Do: Beat an egg yolk and to it add two teaspoon of lemon juice and one tablespoon of honey. Mix all the ingredients with a packet of unflavored gelatin to form a fine paste.

Apply it on your skin and wash with water when it is completely dry. Lemon exfoliates the skin while honey and egg yolk help in moisturizing and nourishing the skin to promote skin repair.
