Jump Start Your Beauty Routine with Lemons

If you’re buying a car, you definitely don’t want a lemon, but lemons can be the most important part of a beauty treatment. Even though lemons are great for your insides, providing many nutrients, particularly vitamin C, they also help your outsides, too.

Adding a bit of lemon to your drinking water can help you prevent breakouts, while also hydrating you with extra vitamin C, B-complex, and minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and iron.

6 Ways to Use Lemons in Your Beauty Routine

① Eliminate Discolorations And Brighten The Skin

Lemon juice is natural bleach that can brighten your skin. Just a few drops of lemon juice squeezed onto a cotton ball and applied to the face at bedtime not only eliminates many skin imperfections, scars, and blemishes, it also brightens the skin, giving you the clear complexion you’ve always wanted.

② Blast Away Blackheads
Cut a lemon in half or quarters and use the cut side as a blackhead fighter. Rub it on your face, avoiding the eye area but focusing more on the nose, cheeks, chin and forehead, all the places blackheads seem to flourish.

The Alpha Hydroxy acid that lemons contain not only acts as an exfoliant but unclogs the pores and leaves the skin looking smoother. Rinse, after you’ve, rubbed the lemon over your entire face to remove the debris and dirt it dislodged.

③ Hydrate with Lemon Juice and Water

You won’t find an easier and more beneficial beauty treatment than drinking water frequently, especially if you’ve added lemon to it. Your skin suffers if you don’t drink enough water, so drinking water throughout the day is important.

However, you’ll also get a boost from squeezing a quarter of a lemon in each glass. The extra nutrients can give you noticeably younger looking skin and also increase your health.

④ Whiten and Brighten Nails
Since lemon has natural bleaching qualities, it only makes sense they will whiten your nails. If you have any cuts on your hands, you may want to wait to try this until they heal. Lemon juice burns like crazy when it gets into a cut, but it will help it heal faster.

⑤ Get Silky Hair from a Lemon Juice Rinse
You may have used lemon juice to naturally lighten hair, particularly when you’re out in the sun, but did you know it also makes your hair shine and shimmer.

Just wash your hair and rinse with a mixture of lemon juice and water. Allow it to sit for a few minutes and then rinse it off your hair. If you leave it on, it will lighten your locks.

⑥ Stop Acne in Its Tracks
It’s so simple, most people don’t use it. Just adding the juice from half a lemon to a glass of water creates a powerful acne treatment.

Just dip a washcloth in the water and wipe your face. The lemon does the rest.

Hi, I have used these remedies before but because I have very sensitive skin lemon juice burns and irritates my skin so is there anything I can add to it to make it effective and neutral to skin at the same time.
