Many women want to enjoy fair, beautiful skin. To achieve this light skin tone, some women end up spending an enormous amount of money on beauty products and beauty salon treatments.

While cosmetic products are available to lighten your skin, most of these products also include harsh chemicals that can cause adverse side effects, and in some cases, even skin damage.

Fruits-to-lighten-skin2-1

Is it possible to lighten your skin without using products that contain chemicals? Several fruits can be used to help you lighten your skin the natural way.

With regular use, you can enjoy a fairer complexion, and you won’t have to worry about damaging your skin. The following fruits can help improve your glow, increase skin elasticity, lighten your complexion, improve radiance, and more.

Try one of these fruits, and you’ll be able to lighten skin the natural way.

① Fruit #1 – Papaya
Papayas can be used to whiten your skin naturally. This fruit has a butter-like, soft consistency and it contains important compounds that will lighten your skin, including papain, alpha hydroxy acids, and vitamin C.

Not only do these compounds reduce pigmentation and lighten your skin, but they also help to balance your skin’s pH, improve firmness, and provide skin with better texture.

Papaya Facial Mask
① Puree or mash few slices of ripe papaya in a container and add 1 tbsp of raw honey.

② Mix thoroughly and gently massage this mixture into your face and hands.

③ Let it sit for 15-20 minutes and rinse it off with tepid water and splash some cold water to close the pores.

② Fruit #2 – Lemon
Lemons have been used for many years to help lighten and bleach skin. Lemon juice includes vitamin C and citric acid, which both work to fade dark areas and scars.

It helps to brighten and lighten skin, and this juice will even bleach any facial hair you may have. Use lemon juice regularly, and you’ll appreciate your fairer, flawless complexion.

lemon-1

Lemon Facial Mask
① Mix 2 – 3 tbsp of rose water, 1/2 wedge of lemon juice, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp of baking soda.

② Mix all the ingredients and apply to your freshly cleansed face and decollete.

③ Let it sit for 15-20 minutes and wipe it off with a face cloth (wet or soak it in warm water and wring it off gently).

④ Finally, rinse your face using a gentle face wash (like a baby wash) to get rid of the mask altogether. Moisturize if needed.

Lemon Facial Spritz
① Grab a misting spray bottle and fill it half with cold water and add the 1/4 wedge of lemon juice.

② Shake the mixture well and spritz it on your clean/dry face.

③ Use this spritz water 2x a day t make your skin fresh and less greasy.

③ Fruit #3 – Orange
Oranges are well known for their high concentration of vitamin C, and this vitamin does a great job at reducing the appearance of scars and lightening the skin.

Vitamin C and other antioxidants in oranges help to improve the skin’s elasticity and hydrate your skin.

Orange Facial Mask
① Mix thoroughly 4-6 tbsp of freshly squeeze orange juice and 2 tsp of fuller’s earth clay (multani mitti ) in a bowl.

② Apply the mixture on your freshly washed face and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.

③ Rinse it off with warm water and make sure to splash your face with cold water as the final rinse.

④ Fruit #4 – Strawberry

You can use strawberries to lighten skin naturally since these berries are a great source of polyphenols, ellagic acid, and vitamin C. These compounds work together to protect your skin from the sun.

Using strawberries on your face will increase the luster of your skin, prevent fine lines and sagging, and improve smoothness. This fruit also helps to lighten your skin, giving you the fair, lovely skin that you want.

strawberry-1

Strawberry Facial Mask
① Throw 3-4 strawberries into a blender and add 1 tbsp of raw honey, 2 tbsp lemon juice and 2 tbsp of plain yogurt ( not the non-fat one).

② Blend them well to make a paste.

③ Start with a clean face and gently wipe with cotton pad/ball soaked in rosewater toner (avoiding the eye area).

④ After the toner, you can now gently apply the strawberry mixture and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.

⑤ Rinse it off with tepid water and use cold water for the final rinse.

⑤ Fruit #5 – Tomato
Another fruit you can use to lighten your skin naturally is the tomato.

Lycopene, which is a powerful antioxidant, is found in tomatoes, and this antioxidant works to treat acne scars, brighten skin, and protect skin from sun damage.

The lycopene will also help repair your skin, and it boosts your skin’s production of collagen. Tomatoes also contain vitamin C and vitamin A, which even skin tone, revitalize skin, and increase overall radiance.

TOMATO-1

Tomato as a Face Cleanser
① Mix 2 -3 tbsp of tomato juice and add 1 tbsp raw honey in a bowl.

② You can either use a cotton pad or cotton ball and dip it in the mixture before gently wipe it over your face.

③ Let it sit for 15-20 minutes before rinsing it off with tepid water.
