It is only a misconception that you need special ingredients to create something magical and lavender is the example that comes first to mind. Regarded as a common heart that grows in different areas around the globe and requires no special attention, lavender comes in dozens of different species, and they all have in common, the wonderful smell. For years, I’ve cherished this fragrance, but it recently came to my attention that there is much more than lavender can be used at.
You don’t necessarily need to grow the plant in your backyard, and even if you live in the urban jungle like I do, you will probably have it easy to purchase the necessary amounts. My advice is to better buy more than less, because simply put you can’t have too much lavender in your house. Although I have to confess that I’m just making the first steps down the road that leads to master the art of using lavender for household needs, I’ve already had my share of achievements.
I’ve been using lavender for making bath salts, and I can’t think of a better fragrance for helping me ease into the dream world while taking a hot bath. I’ll stay in the same ZIP code and warmly advise you to check out lavender body and foot scrub, that will make your skin silky smooth and caress it with a heavenly smell. Lavender can even be used for making soap, and the recipe doesn’t require a chemistry degree or any prior experience.
