3 Ways on How to Use Almond Oil in Your Beauty Routine

If you’re interested in DIY skincare, you’ve come across at least one recipe that utilizes the incredible power of almond oil. It nourishes, protects and rejuvenates the skin.

These benefits turn almond oil into one of the most widely used cosmetic ingredients.

almond-oil-1

Apart from being incredibly beneficial, almond oil is hypoallergenic and suitable for use on even the most sensitive of skin. It can be used in facial creams and even baby oils because of its qualities.

Still wondering how to incorporate almond oil in your beauty routine? Here are three of my most favorite possibilities.

Nourishing and Restorative Skin Treatment

Almond oil is the perfect substitute for a night cream. Alternatively, you can add a few drops of it to your favorite night cream brand and enjoy its nourishing and regenerative benefits.

The almond oil skin-nourishment option will protect your face against aging, restore that healthy glow and give you an even complexion. You can also use almond oil on your dry hands and your chapped lips.

The oil is a wonderful source of vitamins E and A, both of which are needed to maximize skin health.

Hair Strengthener and Growth Booster

You need just a little bit of almond oil to make your hair stronger and healthier. Massage it gently in your scalp to stimulate circulation and the absorption of nutrients. You’ll soon notice your hair to be healthier and thicker.

Just like in the case of the skin treatment, you can use almond oil in your favorite hair mask. All that you need to do is add a couple of drops and wait for the spectacular results.

Almond oil will also make an excellent serum that will protect your hair against split ends. Just apply a little bit to the tips of your dry hair. The oil is lightweight, so it’s not going to make your hair greasy.

It will lock moisture inside and reduce that dreaded frizz. Also, your locks will look a lot shinier.

Gentle and Soothing Facial Cleanser

Oil-based facial cleansing is highly beneficial for all skin types. You will need 20 ml of almond oil and 30 ml of rose water. The oil can dissolve sebum and dirt.

Rose water has cleansing properties, and it regulates sebum production. Mix the two ingredients together and store in a bottle made of dark (amber) glass.

The facial cleanser is perfect for makeup removal (even waterproof) and getting rid of impurities at the end of the long day. Apart from providing in-depth cleansing, the almond oil will hydrate your skin. You get two amazing benefits from just one basic product!

      @Shraddha,
      Yes, you can use almond oil as moisturizer as well. You’re best applying the oil while your skin is still after-shower damp — the better to add moisture and absorb the oil — and you really, truly, only need three or four drops AND massage gently over your skin.

    Can rose water be replaced with something else?

      @Laura Salagean,
      You can use witch hazel instead of rose water (use the non-alcohol one). However, you can create your own rose water from scratch actually, just follow instructions here:
