If you want to keep your skin glowing and smooth, it is important to stay hydrated. Instead of simply drinking water, consider drinking delicious herbal teas.

Not only will these teas keep you hydrated, but they are also packed with nutrients that will improve your skin. Here are three teas you may want to try.

Let’s start with the obvious benefit: water.

Keeping hydrated is the best way to keep your skin smooth and glowing, but instead of just drinking water why not drink a hot cup of herbal tea that not only keeps you hydrated, but is full of skin loving nutrients too!

These 3 types of tea mentioned below — may even be better than drinking water alone, since tea replaces fluids and contains antioxidants. Of course, this is where the caffeine- free part comes in. Caffeine is a diuretic, i.e.; wouldn’t work out so well for hydration, so let’s stick to herbal tea here. (note: green tea does contain caffeine – but less than black tea and a lot less than coffee.)

Tea #1 – White Tea

White tea is one of the best teas to drink if you want gorgeous skin. It has a high concentration of antioxidants, which helps to keep the skin protected from oxidation. This tea can also fight off the signs of aging.

It doesn’t stop there. Drinking white tea can keep your skin looking clear, and you can even use this tea topically to soothe skin and reduce inflammation. To use this tea topically, brew a very strong cup of the tea and let it cool completely. Dip a washcloth into the white tea and rub over skin like you would a toner.

Tea #2 – Green Tea

Green tea is very popular and its name comes from the color it turns when it has been brewed. Great tea has plenty of antioxidants, and the compounds found in green tea work as anti-inflammatories.

This tea has the ability to protect your skin from skin cancer, heal wounds faster, and prevent the signs of aging. You can also apply it to the skin topically to treat skin problems, such as eczema and psoriasis.

Tea #3 – Nettle Tea

While you may not be as familiar with nettle tea, it offers some great skin benefits. It is particularly helpful for people who deal with acne.

This tea can help purify the blood, and it helps detoxify your body. It aids your kidneys and liver in removing toxins from the body. If you have a lot of toxins in your body, your skin will show it.

You may deal with inflammation, blackheads, and pimples. When you eliminate toxins from the body, you will enjoy clearer, acne-free skin.

To treat these skin problems, you should drink 3-4 cups of nettle tea each day for the best results.

All three of these natural teas offer some excellent skin benefits. Other herbal teas offer great benefits as well.

Head to a health store, and you will find many natural teas that can promote health, which will positively affect your skin. Remember, you should buy organic teas if possible.
