I am a fan of nature oils for skin care and sometimes apply virgin coconut oil, avocado oil or almond oil on my face as a part of my overall skin care routine to rejuvenate dry skin.
Almond oil is especially good for mature aging skin as it boasts a plethora of great skin enhancing properties that will help revive dull skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin pigmentation.
Also, almond oil is a rich source of Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant which is widely known to nourish, soften and provide immediate moisture to dry skin.
Almond oil is not overly greasy and does not clog pores. The best part, almond oil is reasonably priced. You only need a few drops of almond oil to treat dry facial skin. Simply apply and gently massage into your clean face until absorbed.
That said, you will also benefit from the natural goodness of these oils – wheat germ oil, apricot kernel oil, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, or kukui nut oil. They all moisturize dry, mature skin and keep it smooth and supple.
However, make sure you do a small skin patch test to rule out any possible allergies before using any essential oil.
