Yeast infection can affect the whole body and that includes the mouth , thrush and vaginal area or infants in diapers.
Yeast Infections can possibly be transmitted to your partner through sexual contact but they are not considered as a sexually transmitted infection.
What is Yeast Infection
Yeast Infection is stimulated by a particular kind of fungus called Candida Albicans. Commonly it is referred to as Candida and it is not stranger to human being and normally exist in warmth and moisture skin areas like the mouth and female reproductive organ.
Yeast Infection Symptoms
Some of the factors that lead to skin yeast infections are from wearing damp clothes and excessive sweating. The most common factors include intakes of steroids, antibiotics, birth control pills and soaps while some of the least common factors are low immunity and stress.
When the yeast infection occurs in the mouth, one must seek medical attention. If you have a weak immune system, there are proper treatment procedures the doctors can guide you so the infection won’t get worse.
While there are some skin infection conditions which do not require immediate medical attention, there are severe cases which include fever, vomiting and discharges. These symptoms may be related to other diseases such as appendicitis or kidney infection, therefore these should be brought into urgent medical consideration.
Recognizing the symptoms at an earlier stage may help you to deal with this condition effectively. You should immediately consult your doctor before taking any medicines or trying any home remedies as soon as you notice some redness and soreness on your skin. In addition, flaky and itchy skin is other common symptoms of this infection.
Home Remedies for Yeast Infections
Different lab tests will need to be done when the infection is affecting the whole body but it is also easy to identify skin yeast infections without undergoing any tests. There are vast numbers of ways to treat yeast infections and that includes home remedies. Garlic, yoghurt, boric acid and tea tree oil can be used to cure yeast infections the natural way. Over the counter creams and ointments can be quite effective too. But to help cure the major infections, strong prescription medicines will do.
We hear it over and over again that prevention is better than cure. You can prevent skin yeast infection by eating a balanced diet, yogurt and green vegetables and it can also boost one’s immunity. Strong immunity will prevent the growth of yeast cells in your body. But one important thing to remember is to keep the affected areas of your skin dry and clean all the time.
