Stephanie Birkitt’s name was unknown to public until she became the center of the extortion plot against David Letterman. She was best remembered as David Letterman’s former assistant but not until this week after her name was being dragged through the mud between Robert Halderman and the CBS funny man controversy.

Stephanie Birkitt, has made numerous appearances on his comic foil that made her a minor celebrity as she quickly developed a role as Letterman’s girl Friday until their relationship became intimate. She was living with alleged blackmailer Robert “Joe” Halderman who got her diary, photos and correspondence that brought accusation to Letterman.
However, Joe Halderman was already been taken into custody for allegedly periling Letterman for $2 million. Though Stephanie Birkitt admitted that she slept with David Letterman, she choose to remain in hiding till this hour.
