It is extremely important that we take good care of not only our face but also our skin during this cold season. The low humidity in winter season makes the skin dehydrated. Dehydration in skin makes it more sensitive, dry and loses elasticity that’s why signs skin of aging are clearly visible.
The skin will normalize itself when the seasons change. Many of us don’t know how to take care of our skin during winter season that’s why we ended up seeing ourselves with the look that was not so pleasing. Nobody wants to look ugly so I will give you some tips on how to make your skin look beautiful and hydrated.
1. Moisturize your skin
Hydrating creams and thermal sprays are believed to be used only during summer season but I’m suggesting that you also used these during winter season. Nourishing our skin doesn’t need to choose what season, we must always nourish our skin.
Moisture serums, hydrating masks and sprays will be some of the best buys during this cold season. We must get rid of the facial soap and lotions containing alcohol for it will make our skin drier. Oily skins must also be cleansed with alcohol free cleansing milk or lotion. Neutral ph level is advisable to those who have skin that was ultra sensitive.

2. Change your face cream or moisturizer
Skin types change during winter season. Oily skin may turn into normal, normal skin may turn to dry and dry skin may turn to hypersensitive. Skin changes only during winter season because minimal moisture is present in the air which can make your skin looks dry and dehydrated. Products containing Aloe Vera, chamomile extract, honey and olive oils were some best buys that you should consider.
3. Moisturize the entire body
Exfoliation once a week may help to remove the dead skin cells and improve the blood circulation. Moisturizing your body after shower will be a great help for your skin to look beautiful and soft.
4. Take care of your hands
We must moisturize our hands too. Use hand soap or cream which is mild and that contains vitamins and other nourishing ingredients.
5. Protect your skin from the sun
The winters UVA and UVB rays are as harmful as of the summer. Try using sunscreen that has SPF 15 or higher to be applied after moisturizers or cream. This will be a great help for your skin not to have brown spots, redness and discoloration.
6. Protect your lips
Chapped lips may also be encountered during this season for this is very delicate and sensitive. To avoid this, you may use oiler lip balm or petroleum jelly to keep it nourish.
