How to Lose Weight Using Cinnamon and Honey – Drink your Way to Fitness

If you are behind the schedule and you feel that time is quickly running out, help yourself to some cinnamon + honey drink. It is a wondrous solution for a drink that will help you lose weight easily and healthily, without spending a lot of money on allegedly miraculous pills or lengthy diets.

While I strongly oppose pills and other artificial ways of losing weight, I don’t claim that the cinnamon honey drink will work alone. You still need to stay away from those fast foods, eat healthy and exercise daily but this tasty drink will push the process into overdrive.

I think this is the ultimate example of combining the best of both worlds, because for the first time you no longer need to decide between what is tasty and what is good for you.


I tried drinking this mixture for few weeks and the difference was noticeably visible. No, I didn’t lose 10 lbs overnight but I felt light because this drink would clear out all the greasy food I’ve consumed the next day.

The Result

I can’t believe I’ve lost 5 lbs in barely 2 weeks of drinking this drink and after a month and half later, I’ve lost almost 10 lbs. This drink really does relieve a lot of problems like bloating and irregularity, something that most weight loss tricks actually cause.


TIP in Buying Cinnamon:

All Cinnamon are Not Created Equal
Often in supermarkets you don’t buy true cinnamon, but cassia (Chinese cinnamon bark), which is a cheap cinnamon from China, Vietnam and Indonesia. It has VERY different chemical properties and contains a potentially dangerous substance called coumarin. (unfortunately, Saigon cinnamon is actually cassia, so look for organic CEYLON cinnamon!). It has a sweet aroma and a noticeably better and milder flavor than the cassia variety.


QUICK TIP!I suggest that you use a tea infuser to hold the cinnamon in hot water as it doesn’t dissolve well in liquid (the wet cinnamon within the tea infuser is thrown out later, but into the garbage as it could clog your sink!). Or you can use a coffee filter when brewing this drink.

1 tbsp organic raw Honey, 1 tsp organic Ceylon Cinnamon powder and 1 cup water.

Boil the water. Add cinnamon in a mug of hot water. When water has cooled to drinkable temp, add honey (not before it’s cooled!). Drink 1 glass before breakfast and one glass right before bed to boost metabolism. This works — I’ve tried it for a week and have already lost inches. (Don’t reheat, keep in mind if it is too hot, the heat will break down the nutrients in the honey.)

Consume every night before sleeping, and every morning 30 minutes before eating anything else.


I’m confident that nobody doubts the fact that cinnamon and honey are expensive ingredients, so you can create as much juice as you want without worrying about expenses. I prefer not to brew large quantities but if you are short on time, you will find it refreshing to learn that the drink can be stored safely for days. Every time you feel the need of a refreshing drink, take a sip and watch how those pounds melt away.

    Its only 3 months since you gave birth. So give yourself some time to recuperate and since you are breastfeeding, you’ll soon lose the extra pounds you gained. Just concentrate on your baby at this stage.

    You can make one glass in the morning and the 1 glass in the evening time. Or you can make 2 glasses altogether and drink the first one while storing the other glass in the fridge so you can use it later in the evening.

    It means raw, unprocessed honey. It is dark in color and not being processed.

    Don’t reheat the mixture once the honey is already added. You can drink it cold actually.

    My grandma gave me a piece of advice when I got pregnant. She said these 9 months and until you stop breastfeeding, do not eat 3 things: Sugan, white flour, and cheese.
    According to research, it is confirmed that avoiding these three items not only prevents weight gain but also prevents fat pockets to accumulate. These fat pockets are whats the hardest to loose from a pregnancy.
    I followed the advice with great difficulty but I also lost the pounds off easily.

    Hi ma’m i’m drinking lemon honey mix wit warm water every morning, half a lemon n one teaspoon honey, how can i add cinnamon to this? And here i only get cinnamon bark skin, not powder, and again, one question, i have chronic acne problems, i m trying your remedies n it does help, and i’v been taking treatment from ayurvedic doctor, who recommended blood purifier for lowering body heat, now because this cinnamon is hot, will it be harmfull for me?     You dont need to boil the mixture of cinnamon and water. Just get a hot water and add some cinnamon on it and once it becomes cooler, you can add honey on it.

    If your Ayurvedic doctor was recommending you a blood purifier to lower body heat, just skip the cinnamon then. The honey and lemon mixture is fine when detoxifying your body already.

    Hi,all ur tips r gr8.i had tried honey cinnamon drink 4 4-5 days.but in those 4-5 days i had noticed constipation,then i stopped it.i think the reason might b warm water.cause even b4 i had tried only warm water ,i noticed same.i want to continue honey cinna drink,but confused.please advice.waiting 4 ur reply

    Just let the cinnamon sit for a while and strain it before drinking. Just make sure to throw the it in the waste bin NOT in your sink to avoid clog drainage.

    This drink wont make you constipated. I believe you got constipated due to lack of fiber in your diet and dehydration. Drink lots of water (8 or more glasses of water everyday) and add more fiber on your diet.

    Hi i recently started to have the honey cinnamon drink and i saw in a recipe to add 1 tsp of cinnamon and 2 tsp of honey is that the correct measurements? It seems a little overpowering mixture to me so can i half the measurements? Also should i strain the cinnamon power after letting it sit in the hot water for 15-20 minutes? Thank you!

    You can start slow or go easy with the cinnamon at first, once your body get used to it – you can add more. You can strain the cinnamon after seeping it in water.
