Stinky Tofu

stinky tofuI love stinky tofu paired with pickled cabbage, to those of you who haven’t tried the Stinky tofu; I guess you should try one.

As the name suggests, it has a strong acrid smell that some described it as “hellacious” but most tourists in HK or Taiwan who follow their nose have no trouble in finding stinky tofu stand along the streets.

This is a common sight especially in Taiwan’s night market as Stinky tofu is considered as a favorite of Taiwanese people oppose to foreigners.

Honestly, eating stinky tofu isn’t just a gathering in one’s mouth as the feeling ranges generally from smooth to hardly firm to intense and chewy, making it unmistakably great in diversity or variety.

Most Asians, stinky tofu doesn’t denote daily life choices which means, it is just a foodstuff with its own density and history suitable of appreciation. But of poorer quality, it is often dismissed as a nondescript unprocessed food that exists to be changed as a substitute for meat.
